Praise for Radix from Garden of Embers
Radix is methodical, thirsts for knowledge and uses their considerable intellect to obtain strategic positions for their goals. Their thought processes are brought out so well, it's as if the reader sees through their eyes. They're also confident in their abilities, which brings to mind Sherlock Holmes. This is a character that dwells in one's mind long after the pages have been turned. ~ SuVida777
I never thought I'd be drawn into a sequel by a character's in-depth analysis of the world's magic system, but here I am. Radix's innovation with their experiments had me in awe and I loved the logical clarity of their inner dialogue as well as their willingness to explain to Domi (and Sidus) how they accomplished their goal. It takes some intelligence to learn something yourself, it takes much more to teach it to someone else with patience and humility. "You don't need magic to do magic. You just need to understand magic."? Beautiful line. ~ MiyaHikari
Praise for King from King Eden
King is such a complex character who uses both her brains and brawn to survive in an unforgiving post-apocalyptic world. She's incredibly resourceful, resilient and smart—an infamous warlord feared by many. She's quick to identify threats, leads others with an iron hand and she's ruthless when it comes to punishing traitors and enemies. Phenomenal characterization. ~ SuVida777
If I were struggling to survive a war in a post-apocalyptic world, King would be the one I'd want to follow. She displays quick thinking and ingenuity during difficult situations, and remains level-headed in the midst of a crisis. Even her weaknesses are considered with self-awareness. King is not ruthless without reason, instead attempting to mediate before resorting to brutal efficiency. Overall, King Eden is a well-rounded and intelligent character that I find intriguing to no end. ~ MiyaHikari
Thank you all for participating! We will be getting the prizes to the winners shortly, but please message us if we somehow miss any! Also, keep an eye out for our next arena: The Arena of Clouds ☁️
