Praise for Chow Chow from The Fox Princess and Her White Dog
Chow Chow is such a sweet supporting character and a gentleman too! Not only that, but his ability to change forms and produced helpful items from his magic sleeves had me wishing for a Chow Chow in my life. The connection between Snow's nightmares in the first chapter and the eventual reveal that Chow Chow was tortured for her sake was so sad and well-written. His connection to Snow is heart-warming and I smiled when she asked him to come with her. I really hope he does! ~ MiyaHikari
Most supporting characters feel as though they could easily be replaced by an inanimate object. Think attractive woman in an action movie. I'm happy to say that Chow Chow was anything but replaceable. I don't think the story would have any progression without him. He feels like he has an entire thought out backstory that helps drive the narrative. All this from what I assumed would just be a dog from the name. ~ skyebme
