Chapter 11: Hurtful words

Luz's friends gather in Xeelai's living room, clenching their teeth for what Maanaa has to say.

Maya: " I'll cut to the chase, do you think Aliaan has bad intentions towards Luz?"

Maanaa * sighs*: " Well he certainly doesn't think that way, but having -good intentions-  doesn't mean it won't hurt them both"

Thiyya: " Are you saying their love for each other doesn't matter?"

Marco: " I personally think Aliaan has hidden intentions, even if he has feelings for her, he's not thinking of what's best for her"

 Xeelai: " Well, everyone has hidden intentions, it's inevitable, but I think he's trying to convince himself more than anyone else that this is what he wants and needs"

Maanaa: " True, he wants to stand out in a sense, and this, this fantasy of his is bringing by the means for that"

 Ziri: " So you think he's also living a fantasy?"

Maanaa: " Well, I told Xeelai earlier, Luz and Aliaan seem to be mirroring each other, Aliaan was always fascinated with Earth especially, and the idea of being with an exotic woman, gives him the incentive to take a risk to stand out from everyone else in Aaraa"

Xeelai: " Well, he's not the first one to fall for a non-Aaraan, but with the others, our bodies were more compatible but most were still unable to conceive" 

Marco: " Right! this idea of wanting to conceive, I just don't get it, it wasn't long since they met and now they want to marry and have a kid like some damn fairytale prince and princess?"

Xeelai: " It's not common either in Aaraa unless they've been friends for long and decided to be more than that"

Thiyya: " Interesting you guys seem to be a lot like us and yet so different! "

Maya: " So what we know now is both of them are living in a fantasy world, unable to consider the repercussions and blinded by desires!" * sighs*

Thiyya: " Can you blame them? their story is magical"

Ziri: " Wattpad worthy, I say!"

Maya: " Guys, I suggest we talk to them directly and see what they have to say!"

Everyone in the room nods in agreement and leaves for Luz's apartment with many thoughts running through their heads.

As soon as they arrive, the couple greets them with joy on their faces, as if something incredible just happened, this however makes them feel more uneasy than before.

Luz * in pure excitement*: " Guys! your timing is perfect, we have news for you"

The couple looks at each other signaling to do it together.

Aliaan and Luz: " We're getting married!" * beaming smiles drawn on their faces*

The others, stand there confused, disappointed but not surprised except for Thiyya, she rushes towards Luz and congratulates her.

Thiyya *turns back to the others and glares at them*: " Guys, congratulate them, what are you waiting for?"

Marco: " Waiting for it to make sense!"

Ziri: " Congratulations guys, but is it really a good time to take such a big decision?"

Maya: " Congrats but I'd rather not say anything more"

Maanaa: " I'm sorry, I can't congratulate stupid ideas, but in any case, I hope you too will be happy despite your idiocy"

Xeelai: " That's a hasty decision, especially for a situation like yours, but it's your life, so congrats"
