Chapter 18: A Draining Paradise

Luz: " Is something wrong honey?"

Aliaan: " I think Utopia is a parasite!"

Marco: " Can we discuss this later? We should get out of here, the others are waiting!"

The three return and then Maya, Ziri, and Thiyya finally go in.

Ziri: " Oh my Gaaaaaah, l'm in love...AAAA, I'm in love again, scratch that, now I'm in love"

Thiyya: " What are you talking about? I thought you liked women!"

Ziri: " I do like them, look at all these beautiful ladies" *gasps*

Thiyya: " All I'm seeing are hot dudes!"

Maya: " And I'm in cat heaven, remember, this place shows us what we think is perfect, what we find to be a perfect place is subjective, and you too are clearly thirsty."

Ziri: " Cats? Seriously? You didn't even adopt one! cat lady!"

Thiyya: " She's allergic to cats"

Ziri: " Oh!"

Thiyya:" I guess we all want what we can't have!" *sad face*

Maya: " You are gorgeous and a successful popular chef, just put yourself out there and date, I'm sure a lot of hot men will chase you"

Ziri: " True, just don't talk much so they don't find out you're stupid"

Thiyya gets visibly annoyed at Ziri and slaps his arm.

Thiyya: " Good luck finding a girlfriend that will accept someone that's super clingy and is a major simp but not just for her!"

Ziri: " Oh you wanna try me huh? Well-"

Maya: " Guys, there it is, the tree!"

The three friends run towards the tree like little children, it invokes a feeling of freedom inside them, like they have no worries in this world then they get hit by the pure bliss wave which makes their bottled-up emotions come out in bursts as sweet tears, an undescribable stream of emotions that reaches a happy and peaceful state of mind.

They make their wishes holding their hands tight to their chests and closing their eyes with tears of happiness still drifting from their eyes elegantly like pearls. They soon turn back to go to the gate and there to everyone's shock a couple is waiting for them.

Thiyya and Ziri turn to each other, both have seen them before in pictures in Maya's house, it's none other than Edam and Reina Hawks.

Maya *gets goosebumps, and turns to her friends*: " You guys can see them too?"

her friends nod in agreement.

Maya: " This doesn't make sense!" 

Maya *approaches her parents*: " Why are you guys here? You died in a car accident!" *sighs* " No, this can't be them, this doesn't make sense!"

Edam: " It's us Maya! I know this makes no sense to you"

Reina * in tears*: " You have no idea how much I missed you, look at you! you're so beautiful, so grown" * runs to her husband's arms and bursts crying*

Maya: " Mom, dad, is this truly you?"

Edam: " Come here, give your parents a hug!"

Maya runs towards her parents without a second thought and hugs them, her friends look at them with tears in their eyes.
