Painting - wither husbands + Hermes

There are no spelling mistakes in Hermess text speeches. It's all intentional.

Sausage pov:

After a long day of work I was happy to fly back towards sanctuary.

Technically it was my turn to watch Hermes, but since work needed to get done, I didn't have time to take care of him. Luckily my boyfriend stepped in and decided to take care of him for the day.

I sighed. Work was really annoying today. I needed to convince Lizzy to be a lawyer for Joel, so that he won't get put into some prison. If that would happen, I would need to take care of Hermes all the time.

I mean I have nothing against Hermes, but a 4 year old needs a lot of attention.

But back to the work. I needed to farm some wood for Scott and bring it to him. After that Shelby wanted to talk to me about some magic. I also got some froglights from Pix.

I flew towards the town Center and opened the door towards hermes's room. It was empty.

Where are they ? I really hope that Fwhip didn't take him to the Goblands. I know Hermes can fly, but it is way to dangerous for a four year old.

I opened the door to the tavern. Inside was Bruno flying around happily. The allay was friendly and talkative. Even though the rest of the humans here couldn't communicate with animals or spirits. They loved him

"Hello Bruno, have you seen Hermes or Fwhip?" I asked the blue spirit. It told me that they were here for a few seconds, but only to get some water for Hermes.

"Thanks Bruno!" I told him and walked out again. Next best solution is to ask Eddie. Maybe he saw them ?

I walked over to his Armory and knocked on the door. Laughs could be heard from the inside.

After I got no answer I just opened the door. I was met with Eddie making some weapons.

"Hello Eddie!" I said happy, patting my girl bubbles. He greeted me and we talked for a bit until I heard the laughs again.

"Can you hear that too?" I asked Eddie. I've been seeing and hearing some weird things lately. So I couldn't be sure

He nodded and laughed pointing me to the direction of the sound

"I gave them the okay to draw something here" he explained. I nodded and walked towards the door.

I opened it slightly. Inside was Fwhip and Hermes.

Hermes had color all over him, same as Fwhip.

Some Colors were on the floor in a glass. Hermes just put his hand In the glass and put it onto the canvas. Fwhip was doing the same.

"Having fun I see" I smiled at them as I leaned against the doorframe.

"Daddy!" Hermes screamed. He ran up to me. I took him and held him up. He giggled. Then he was clinging onto me.

"Boop" he said while bopping my nose with his hand. It had some purple color on it. I laughed.

I put him on my hip. I looked at Fwhip smiling. He was also covered in paint. Mostly purple, green and red.

"How was work ?" He asked me going over to us. He tickled Hermes slightly, who in return giggled.

I smiled fondly at them. When Fwhip turned back to look at me I answered his question.

"Work was fine. I had a lot of things to do today" I said shrugging.

Fwhip smiled at me and reached up to give me a kiss. I chuckled and leaned down. The goblin was pretty short.

I gave him a kiss. It tasted like cookies and ice cream. Did they eat some sweets?

"Eww" the 4 year old in my arms said. Fwhip pulled back and chuckled. I laughed at Hermes.

"Why don't you show daddy what we did today ?" Fwhip told Hermes. Hermes immediately nodded and tried to get off my grasp. I carefully set him onto the ground.

I chuckled at his enthusiasm.

He ran towards the paints and stood next to the canvas. I sat down in front of it.

"Look daddy wat we did!" He said pointing at the canvas. It was covered in splashes of color, fingerprints and handprints. I chuckled.

"It looks amazing. How about we hang it up somewhere?" I asked the small kid. He nodded eagerly

Fwhip then sat down next to me. He leaned his head against my shoulder.

"Are we finished drawing Hermes ?" Fwhip asked him smiling.

He shook his head. "No. We're not, dada!" He smiled. I melted.

"Then start drawing again" Fwhip said and Hermes immediately started splashing the picture with even more paint.

"When did he get so attached to you?" I asked smiling.

"I don't know, but I'm not complaining" he smiled at me. I laughed. He leaned his head against my shoulder again.

"Where's my chaotic boyfriend?" I asked him jokingly.

"He's tired" Fwhip answered. I laughed.

"What are you doing there Hermes ?" Eddie said from the doorway. Eddie being a rabbit hybrid, with more physical rabbit features, made him being able to be understood by everyone.

"Hello granpa!" Hermes smiled. "Look! I'm dwawing!" He said proudly.

"That's amazing honey!" Eddie answered him. Then he looked at us

"Caring for a child is a job in itself huh?" He laughed at Fwhip. My boyfriend just nodded in response.

"Want me to take care of him for a while ?" Eddie asked me. I shook my head

"We are going to bring him to bed in a bit. Maybe tomorrow? So me and Fwhip can just relax for the day ?" I asked my father. He nodded smiling.

I looked at Fwhip. He was ready to fall asleep. I chuckled. I should let him babysit Hermes more often, if that meant him actually sleeping like a normal person should.

"Cmon Hermes time for bed!" I told my son.

"Nooooo" he complained.

"Cmon I'll bring you to bed" Fwhip told the child. He nodded immediately and started walking towards the exit.

"Maybe don't just run off without us ?" I asked Hermes. He nodded and lifted his arms, showing that he wanted to be carried. I smiled and put him on my hip.

"Bye Eddie! I'll drop hermes off tomorrow! Love you" I turned to my father. He smiled and told us a quick goodbye.

"Let's go! Wooohooo" i smiled. Hermes was on my hip and I took fwhips hand in mine. He smiled

"Wooooo" Hermes repeated.

Fwhip and I laughed.

After bringing Hermes to bed and promising, that we will read him a story tomorrow, we went to bed ourselves. Fwhip immediately fell asleep. He cuddled up to me.

I laughed. Who knew Fwhip was actually responsible enough to take care of a child?
