The autumn air was cutting into Dazai's lungs, as he took a stroll around the city block. Fukazawa told him to take a few days off, given the circumstances, and Dazai was eternaly grateful for his boss' understanding. Visiting hours had yet to begin. That's when Dazai remembered something he had forgotten months ago, and went back home. He picked up his pace as he got closer, finally entering his apartment. He took of his shoes, putting on his house slippers, that where placed next to (Y/n)'s. They had visited eachother so often, they decide to get a pair for each of their respective homes. It took him a few minutes, but he found it, the book that was supposed to be a Valentines present. He sighed, remembering what had kept him from giving his partner the book. It was one of the worst, yet also one of the best memories he could muster to recall, many of the other repressed through trauma, or trauma relating to the person or event. He sighed, trying to get these negative thoughts out of his brain. He reminded himself that he's got (Y/n) now, and he'll do anything in his power to stay by his side.
He took a glance at the clock above the door, and put his shoes back one once he realized that visiting hours would begin soon. He dashed out the door, almost forgetting to lock it in the process. 'I really am quite out of it, aren't I?' He thought to himself, as he took a deep breath, instantly regretting it as the November air almost made him cough with it's freezing temperature. As he walked towards the hospital, he made a mental not to buy himsefl a scarf when he was on his way home later. He walked past the help desk, waving back at a young looking male nurse. "I'm guessing you know where you need to go sir?" He asked Dazai with a friendly smile on his face. Dazai smiled back at the man, nodding shortly before making his way to the elevater, and pressing the button for the third floor. He went right, and kept walking until he reached room 309. He knocked gently on the door, waiting for the permission to enter. He heard a muffled 'Come in!' and entered the room. "You realize you can just come in, you don't have to knock everytime. I know it's either you, Fukazawa or one of the nurses." (Y/n) spoke, his voice a little raspy from barly being used. Dazai smiled at his beau, laying his hand over his partners. "I know, but it fells rude to just barge in. Especially when you're supposed to be resting, and regaining you're strength." The couple smiled at eachother, as (Y/n) shook his head at his boyfriends antics.
