[A/n: fucking writers block]

"Too long has it been." Dazai said, breathless. He never knew how much he could miss someone other than oda, it baffeled him. (Y/n) baffeled him. "I didn't think you would actually be here." (Y/n) said, a tear slipping. He noticed dazais confused expression, and explained. "I've heard people say stuff here and there about you, but most of the time I just thought I missheard. I guess I didn't." (Y/n) smiled, but this time dazai smiled back. Not a smile that said 'I'm better than you', or communicated a form of degredation. It was small, but genuine. Then again, a silence if tranquility fell over them, as dazai pulled (Y/n) in for a hug. He burried his face in (Y/n)'s shoulder, as the other wrapped his arms around dazais neck. "How have you been?" (Y/n) asked, his voice slightly muffled from the fabric of dazais coat. "It's been fine. I'm actually a lot happier than when I was where I used to be. It's relaxing." He whispered into the others neck, revelling in the closeness he didn't know he missed. "How about you come inside, and talk a bit?" (Y/n) didn't need a verbal answer, the look on the brunettes face was enough to let him know. While dazai protested slightly when he let go, he complied when (Y/n)'s hand took his and led him inside. It was a nice one story house, the living room plain, but with a touch of individuality. Paintings and books all around, like a small personal gallary. A small coffee table out of pale wood stood infront of a burgundy couch adorned with various pillows and a few thin blankets. Dazai took of his coat and hung it over a chair at the dinner table. He wordlessly made his way to the couch and sat down, taking a look at one of the books on (Y/n)'s coffee table. "Would you like something to drink dazai?" He heard from the kitchen. He turned to look at (Y/n), something about seeing him in the kitchen asking him what he wanted to drink, it gave him a feel of familiarity, something he had been missing. "Water please. Unless you can make some espresso." (Y/n) smiled. "Of course, my coffee machine has an espresso setting." He said, turning on said machine. He refilled the watertank and placed a small mug underneath the pump. He turned towards the cabinet, and took out a glass filling it with water, He then made his way to the living room, sitting down next to dazai. "It can take a while, so I got you your glass of water in the mean time." Dazai let out an amused breath, and drank some of the water. "I never realised how much I missed you, until I read your name on that file." He said starring into the floor, (Y/n) turned to look at him. He had missed dazai to death, but never knew if he felt the same. (Y/n)'s inner monolouge stopped as he heard a faint 'meow'. His and dazai's eyes turned toward the window, where they saw a little gray cat. "Oh, you poor thing. I'm sorry I locked you out." (Y/n) gushed over the cat as he let it back inside. "I'm  guessing this is your cat?" Dazai said from behind making (Y/n) turn towards him. "Oh, yes it is. Her name is dust. I usually call her dusty though." He said sheepishly, looking off to the side kind of embaressed. Dazai smiled, leading them back to the couch and petting the cat, receiving satisfied purrs from the gray ball of fur. "I think it's a very fitting, and cute name." He said glancing at (Y/n) who smiled at the scene before him.
They kept talking and talking, and before they had known it was evening, and time for dazai to go on his merry way. A scene similar to a romance movie was playing out, but instead of a woman and a man in love, it was to friends bidding farewell after a long time of seperation.
"I was hoping we wouldn't get to this part." (Y/n) said gazing up into the others eyes. "I was hoping the same, but if I don't want to get yelled at by my coworkers, I'll need to take my leave." Dazai said, hoping to lift the suffocating mood. (Y/n) smiled, altough not for long. "You're gonna come back, right?" "Of course."
