⚠️: Angst, sexual scenes, suicidal themes, smoking and drug usage.

He was done. Completely done with his life.

It was just cruel, so cruel towards him. The universe just hated him.

Why wasn't he enough? Why couldn't he be enough?

Yeonjun sat on the rooftop of the building. There he chugged down his small bottle of alcohol, his cigarettes beside him.

He was 25 and depressed while others his age were happy and successful.

He felt so alone. So small. So broken.

He hissed as the cold wind blew through his thin white singlet, pressing against his scars and bruises.

What had happened to him? Those thoughts were something he regularly asked himself.

He stood up with shaky legs and finally brought himself to the railing of the rooftop. His thin and small hands tightly gripped onto the rail.

No. He wasn't going to jump but he wanted to.

This was just how he was. Wanting to die but couldn't bring himself to. So, he just harmed himself. Smoking, starving, vaping, drinking, cutting, and doing drugs.

He couldn't remember how he got to this point. He sells his body, being a prostitute and a disappointment to his parents. He won't ever forget the look people give him or how they whisper behind his back.

Tears pricked his eyes. Where was his glow?

Then he collapsed.

"Shit, are you okay?" A voice called out to him when he woke up. He furrowed his brows, his eyes showing confusion. Where was he? And who was he?

The male in front of him, easily read his face, "You fainted at the rooftop and I brought you down into my apartment. I'm Soobin, I moved into room 207 a few days ago."

Yeonjun nodded, finally understanding.

"You're not eating."

Yeonjun frowned at the sudden confrontation, "Yes I am."

"You're incredibly thin and bony. Your cheeks are sunken and there's no colour in you."

"Quit analysing me. Who are you to say any of this?" Yeonjun felt exposed. Truly who was this stranger?

"I'm just a medical student who's 24."

Yeonjun felt embarrassed.

Someone who was younger than him was studying medicine, someone who would be successful one day was looking at him.

"How old are you?" The younger leaned in closer.

"Why should I tell you?"

"You don't have to."

"Then I'm leaving."

Soobin held his thin wrist, "Eat first."

"I already did."

"Stop lying. You didn't. You haven't for days."

Yeonjun removed his grip on him, "I said quit analysing me! You may be a medical student but it doesn't mean you know everything."

Yeonjun stormed out, slamming the door shut before realising something,

"Shit I live right next door."

Once he was back in his dusty apartment a thought came to mind, "Why was a medic student staying in an apartment like this when he could be staying at the dorms they provide on the campus?"

Yeonjun came up with many reasons but who was he to say any of them was right. He was very curious but he was also very stubborn. He wasn't going to talk to Soobin EVER again.
