The Monster

It takes an hour of arguing back and forth before his men willingly leave him in the cave, it's only the thought of the monster returning that eventually gets them moving for home.

It's not until Jungkook is sure that the men are at a safe distance that he heads back inside his cave.

He finds Jimin standing there alone, eyes roaming the inside of his cave.

Jimin turns when he hears footsteps behind him.

"Do I get to see the human you?" Jimin asks quietly.

The wolf rumbles quietly.

"There is no one else here but us, you saw them all leave."

The wolf raises a paw and lowers his head and tries to cover his eye.

"You want me to close my eyes? Can I trust you?"

They stare at each other for what feels like an eternity until Jimin speaks again.

"I suppose that if you wanted to hurt me you could easily have done it by now."

Jimin moves away from the wolf and leans against the wall of the cave and closes his eyes.

He's not sure what he expected but it wasn't the sound of bones crunching and grinding against one another. It sets his teeth on edge so much he almost opens his eyes to make sure the wolf is ok, but he remembers his promise and keeps them closed until he hears a small exhale of breath that isn't his.

Jungkook stares down at himself.

It's hard to remember how to function as a human he's been in his wolf form for so long.

He hears a quiet shuffling, and his lap is filled with a blanket.

When he looks up the man is blushing and looking anywhere but at Jungkook.

He chuckles quietly.

"We don't wear clothes under the fur, you know."

His voice is husky and quiet. He hasn't had to use it in so long, he thinks his vocal cords may have dried up.

"O-Of course not." Jimin stammers.

It's cute that he seems embarrassed by his naked form.

"It's been a while since I've seen myself this way, I almost forgot what I looked like."

Jimin nods.

"I guess I have some explaining to do but I'm not sure how to do that without you freaking out or thinking I'm insane."

"Maybe start with your name." Jimin shrugs.

"Oh, yeah, of course. I'm Jungkook."

"And your wolf?"

Jungkook looks at Jimin a little non plussed and then realisation seems to dawn on his face.

"Oh, we are the same. He was born with me, so we have the same name."

Jimin nods.

"I have a few questions."

"I'm sure you do." Jungkook chuckles.

"Why? My dreams, why were you in them?"

Jungkook takes a deep breath before he answers.

"Try to keep an open mind, ok?"

Jimin nods once in agreement.

"The Moon Goddess. She showed you me because we are mates."

Jimin watched Jungkook seeming to curl in on himself as he explained.
