Yongjae doesn’t react as strongly to the new addition of Yoongi as Jimin thought he would and it makes him wonder if he knew of Yoongi’s existence before hand, if their mother had told Yongjae about him.

Jimin tries not to linger on the thought too much and soon finds a developing relationship taking up his attention.

Yoongi had taken to spending time with Hoseok, initially everyone thought it was that he had wanted to see how the guards trained.

Jimin had even seen Yoongi taking part in the training.

“It’s Hoseok.” Jungkook mutters from behind him as Jimin stands and watches Yoongi swing the sword in his hand with deadly precision.

“What?”

“I have a feeling we may have to let Hoseok know what we are. I think he’s Yoongi’s mate.” Jungkook says as he wraps his arms around Jimin’s waist.

“You think so?”

“There are only a few things I’ve ever seen Yoongi put this much effort into and physical exertion has never been one of them. He wants to be close and noticed.”

Jimin can hear the amusement in Jungkook’s voice. Jimin drags Jungkook away from the source of his amusement with the excuse of having things to do.

The next time Jimin sees Hoseok, he has a strange look on his face as he looks at Jimin.

“What?”

Hoseok looks over his shoulder furtively and then looks back at Jimin.

“Is it true?” Hoseok asks.

Jimin tilts his head to the side and wonders if he should feign innocence.

“Me, Jungkook and Yoongi are…”

“It is true then. Why didn’t you tell me yourself?”

“I-I didn’t know myself until recently.”

And now Jimin feels bad. He knows he should have told Hoseok as well as Taehyung but at the time it seemed that the fewer people who knew the better.

“And now I have a wolf telling me I’m his mate and I’ve never looked at men in that way and… and… I’m so confused.”

Jimin can see Hoseok spiraling.

“Do you like him?” Jimin asks.

“I… well, yes. He’s nice.”

“Well, then just go with it.” Jimin pauses and the word comes unbidden to his lips.

“Instinct.” He says.

“Instinct?” Hoseok is looking at Jimin like he’s gone mad.

“Hmmm. Let him guide you and see where you end up.” Jimin shrugs. In all honesty he’s at a loss as to how to help Hoseok and Yoongi. It’s not something he had to worry about since his wolf made his appearance.

Jimin and Hoseok end up talking about a lot of wolf things and when Jungkook joins them a few hours later he helps fill in the blanks that Jimin couldn’t, although neither of them are sure how it works between a wolf and human the thought of asking Yongjae makes them all shudder.

The only thing Jimin can tell Hoseok for sure he that he was conceived during his mother’s heat and Hoseok should take precautions if he doesn’t want pups yet.

“P-pups?” Hoseok stutters.

Jimin smirks.

Not a lot scares Hoseok, but he’s clearly not ready to be a father yet.
