Four days.

Four days and Jimin can feel it in every step he takes.

He swears Jungkook's smile couldn't get any bigger every time Jimin flinched when his back gave a protesting twinge.

While Jungkook went off to visit Nari, Jimin is sat with Yoongi and he's not finding it easy to sit still.

"Don't worry," Yoongi murmurs, "You'll get used to it."

Jimin wants to glare at Yoongi but doesn't have the heart. Yoongi is an omega too, so he obviously knows what he's talking about.

Jimin has been telling them about their mother and his father. It's been heart wrenching to know that his mother had left a pup behind just to relieve her own grief, while Yoongi suffered on his own.

Leaving Yoongi here after they leave doesn't sit well with Jimin.

"You could come back with us." Jimin says.

He not sure how Yoongi will react or if he even wants to leave his pack, but it's all Jimin can offer to ensure that Yoongi isn't lonely.

When Yoongi looks at him, he's not sure that Yoongi appreciates the gesture.

"I mean only if you want to. My father would welcome you I know he would, and we have lots you can do around the castle."

Jimin starts to stumble over his own words, so he shuts up.

Yoongi is not an easy person to get words out of and he has spent most of his and Jimin's time together listening to him talking about Siwoo and his childhood.

"You could meet Hoseok and Taehyung, although Tae may be a bit much for you in too bigger doses." Jimin says thoughtfully.

Tae can be overpowering when he's excited.

"I mean you don't have to stay, but..."

"Ok." Yoongi answers.

Jimin is stunned into silence.

"Really?"

"Don't you want me to?"

"Well, yes, but only if you want to."

"Then I'll come back with you. There isn't much holding me here, but this is my home."

"I don't want you here on your own, lonely."

Yoongi smiles.

The only other person he had known to care so much about others was Siwoo, Jimin clearly got the better end of the gene pool, while Yoongi takes after his father.

"I have a whole pack around me, Jimin." Yoongi says.

Jimin nods.

"But you can still feel lonely with people around you."

Jimin isn't wrong.

Yoongi would be lying if he didn't sometimes feel lonely, especially when he sees families together and pups running to their mothers. It just serves to remind him about his own parents and his lack of a mate.

"I'll come back with you and Jungkook after your shift, but don't expect me to stay long." Yoongi says.

Jimin nods in understanding.

"Ok."

"Hadn't we better find your mate and talk to you about what to expect for your first shift." Yoongi says, more to change the subject than anything else.

Jimin and Yoongi find Nari and Jungkook sat on their front step laughing and talking.

Nari is the first to spot them.
