The Monster

Jimin stares down at the envelope in hand. He's not seen his mother's handwriting in so long.

He's not sure if he wants to read what is contained in the envelope but he knows he will have to at some point.

Jimin shoves the letter into the bedside drawer, just as someone knocks at the door.

"Come in." He calls.

Tae's head pops around the door and Jimin can't help the smile on his face.

"Hey." Tae says as he walks in.

"Your dad spoke to me and my mother. She knew what had happened. I spoke to her when I left you."

Jimin nods.

"Your mother was the keeper of my mother's secret and now you are mine." Jimin chuckles quietly.

"I always said we were friends for a reason, born close together to two people who were so close was no coincidence." Tae says.

Jimin just nods his head.

"Are you ok?" Tae asks sitting next to Jimin on his bed and slipping an arm around his shoulder.

"It's funny. So much has happened, so much has changed and yet I feel fine."

"Complete." His wolf supplies.

Jimin hums.

"Have you told Jungkook yet?"

"No. Can you... can you get him. I do need to tell him."

"Ok." Taehyung squeezes Jimin into his side briefly before letting go and heading out the bedroom.

Jimin knows when Jungkook enters the room, the smell of cinnamon invades his senses, but he keeps his back to the bedroom as he looks out over the gardens, he had been trying to pick out other scents from one another.

"I can smell you now, you can't sneak up on me anymore." Jimin chuckles.

"Your senses are developing." Jungkook says as he tentatively slips his arms around Jimin's waist, resting his chin on Jimin's shoulder.

He then dips his face into Jimin's neck and breaths deeply.

"Your glands too, your own scent is stronger now."

Jimin finds himself melting into Jungkook and tilting his head to the side.

"I'm half wolf." He mutters as Jungkook noses a trail up and down his neck.

Jungkook remains quiet waiting for Jimin to continue.

"My mother was a wolf. They, my parents, didn't think I had the wolf gene because I didn't present. This is all your fault." Jimin whispers breathlessly.

With his and Jungkook's scents mixing and melding between them he's finding it hard to concentrate on anything other than Jungkook.

"You're not helping Jungkook. I'm trying to tell you what I've found out."

Jungkook huffs against Jimin's neck and straightens up, keeping his arms around Jimin's waist.

"Then please carry on your highness."

Jimin nudges his elbow back into Jungkook's ribs weakly.

"You triggered something in me. I don't know what, but after one kiss I've had a heat and gained a wolf."

"Hmmm, I brought the crown prince to his knees." Jungkook mutters.

"Stupid wolf."

Jungkook laughs.
