All Jimin tells Yongjae is that they are going to see Jungkook's family and it's not really a lie, but they are also going to seek out Yoongi and see if he still resides within the pack.

It's another trip that sets Jungkook on edge.

He doesn't know how anyone will react with him coming back within the pack grounds.

He's not even sure his own mother will want to see him after what happened between them.

Jimin tries to give Jungkook as much comfort as it can, but it doesn't seem to be working.

They ride through the forest for a few days. It never fails to fascinate Jimin with how green everything is at this time of year.

The waterfall can be heard but is quite a way away now.

As the come closer to the bae of the mountain and the road that links one side with the other, the air starts to cool.

By the time they are halfway up the path they start to see patches of snow dotted here and there.

"It's going to start getting colder now." Jimin says pulling his horse to a stop.

Jungkook hums and stops alongside Jimin.

"We should start to bundle up."

Jimin dismounts and pulls at one of the packs strapped to his horse.

He pulls out a thick coat, gloves and a scarf.

Jungkook does the same, but Jimin realises he's mostly working on auto pilot.

Jimin slips his coat on and shoves the gloves in his pocket for now, before slipping the scarf round his neck.

"Stop worrying. It won't be as bad as you think. If anything, people might not react well to a half breed wolf whose mother left her older son to fend for himself."

Jungkook shook his head to clear it.

He knows he's worrying for nothing after all he was the one who left, they didn't throw him out the pack.

"I'm sorry." He mumbles. "I'm being selfish."

Jimin walks over to Jungkook and helps him pull his coat on. As he wraps the scarf round Jungkook's neck he pulls Jungkook down closer to his face and kisses him.

"It's natural to worry, but I really don't think you need to." Jimin says.

Jungkook nods and gives Jimin a small smile.

It's just like Jimin, his nature to put everyone else before himself, to worry about others who are upset even if he has worries of his own.

He pulls Jimin into a hug and then they pull away and mount their horses.

"Let's go then."

Jimin nods once and they carry on the road that is going to take them up into the snow-covered peaks and down the other side to the pack's village.

Jungkook wants to get this over and done with.

He wants to be back home, at the castle, with his mate. He wants to be able to help Jimin through his first shift and his rut is due soon as well.

Jungkook has told Jimin all this last night before they had started their journey out here.

They had made plans for Jimin's shift and Jungkook was determined to see it through and make what could be a hard time for Jimin as easy as possible.

After a few more hours the snowy peaks start to surround them, and their breath comes out in puffs of warm air.

Jimin doesn't mind the cold, when winter comes the kingdom will be blanketed in snow.
