They just start to hit an incline in the road when Jungkook stops and stares down the road.

Jimin comes to a halt beside him and follows Jungkook's line of sight.

There, a few doors down from where they stand is a woman sitting on the steps of the house behind her. Her knees are pulled up and her chin rests on them.

"Your mother?" Jimin asks quietly.

Jungkook doesn't say anything, just stands and stares at the lone figure.

"Jungkook?" Jimin tries again.

When Jungkook still doesn't answer him, he reaches out and gently touches Jungkook's elbow.

"Alpha?"

That seems to snap Jungkook out of it and turns his head to look at Jimin.

"What if... what if she's angry with me?"

"Why would she be angry? You came back and with your mate."

"Jimin, I didn't tell you everything."

Jimin looks at Jungkook concern crossing his features.

"So, tell me now before I drag you down there to her."

"I lost my temper with her. She... she has scars that I gave her."

Jimin can see the glassy sheen taking over Jungkook's eyes.

"I nearly killed her. I didn't ever realise I'd begun to shift..."

A lone tear slides over Jungkook's cheek and Jimin reaches up and wipes it away.

"She's been waiting for you, Jungkook. I'm sure that's not the actions of a mother who doesn't want to see her son."

Jungkook nods and sniffs loudly.

"Come on."

Jimin tugs at Jungkook's sleeve and they start walking towards the house again.

They stand in front of the lone figure before Jimin quietly coughs.

The woman looks up, first at Jimin then at Jungkook.

Jimin notes the scars slashed across her face but the tear tracks over them are what pulls at his heart.

"J-Jungkook?"

The woman stands and reaches out a hand to Jungkook, she slowly runs her fingertips over his wet cheek.

"H-Hi mum." Jungkook mumbles.

Jimin can hear the pain in his voice but is soon distracted when Jungkook's mum pulls Jungkook close and wraps her arms around him tightly.

Jimin grins as Jungkook slowly raises his arms to hug his mother.

Jungkook's mother looks over Jungkook's shoulder at Jimin with a bright smile.

"Thank you for bringing my boy back to me."

Jimin can feel the blush colour his cheeks and shakes his head.

She then pushes Jungkook back and looks him up and down.

Suddenly Jungkook is whining and rubbing the back of his head.

"That's for making me worry." She scolds him.

Jimin can't help the giggle that erupts from him at the sight of the big bad wolf being chastised by his mother.

"And who is this?" She asks turning her attention to Jimin.

"Ah... this is Jimin. He's my..."

"You found your mate! I told you there was one for you." She exclaims.
