Tyson took a deep breath. It had been awhile since he had some free time to himself. School and work had been leaving him haggard and sitting in the couch had never felt so good.

He picked up the remote to the tv and then the one to his game system. Just as he was selecting his game she appeared at the side of the couch.
"Mind if I join you?" Maria asked.

He looked over at her. She stood there in an oversized shirt and cotton shorts. He had to stop himself from pursing his lips. He really wasn't sure he's trusted her. With everything she had put Mindy through and the way Mindy had told him that she had planned out his seduction years ago, he was going to keep his guard up. He couldn't be rude to her though. Maria broke the silence.

"I've just been alone all day and am dying for some kind of interaction. I don't want to bother you."

Tyson realized that he had paused for too long. "Don't worry about it. Have a seat." He held back a sigh. He went to set down his controller before Maria stopped him.

"You can still play. I'm just looking for a little company."

"Alright."

He repositioned his controller and continued his game. A cut scene started.  After finishing Maria spoke up.

"Hmm this actually looks pretty interesting."

"Yeah the story is pretty good and the exploration  of the open world makes finding new things feel pretty rewarding. It's a lot of fun."

"I never really got into video games but I think I might enjoy watching this."

"Cool!"

He kept playing for a little while. Occasionally answering her questions and side eyeing her. He was waiting for her to try something or make some forward comment but she never did. Man, she was beautiful. He winced at the thought. "I'm sorry, Mindy", he thought. He refocused on the game.

"By the way, I want to thank you for being such a good boyfriend for Mindy. I know that sharing an apartment with your girlfriend's ex can't be easy. She deserves to have someone like you."

Tyson was taken off guard. He wasn't sure how to respond.

"Oh.. thank you. I just want her to be happy. I love her."

"I can tell. It's why you're a good boyfriend. I wish I had gotten so lucky."

He felt her hand on his thigh. Was this it?! Was she trying to make a move. His breathing became shallow. Her lips pressed against his cheek in a quick peck. Then she pulled back. Her hand left his leg.

"Thank you."

"Uh... you're welcome... also if you're ever bored and feel like playing this game feel free to try it yourself."

"Thank you! I appreciate that. I start my new job tomorrow so I don't know if I'll have the time but watching you play has been fun. I just might take you up on it."

"Well, I hope the new job goes well."

"It should. It's hardly different than what I was doing before. I do need to sleep though. Goodnight."

She got up off the couch.

"Goodnight", Tyson replied.

He caught himself staring at at her legs as she walked away. He grimaced. "Come on, dude!" He chided himself in his thoughts. "Stop being a creep."
