I had a one-night stand with this guy a few weeks ago. He somehow got my number and has been trying to see me but I wanted to leave that all in the past. I honestly don't even remember who he is or what he looked like. He was very polite and gentle but the complete opposite of my type.
I gave in and decided to meet him. He asked me to meet him at the Han river so when I got there he was facing the water with his hands in the pockets of the leather jacket he had on. I took a deep breath and walked over to him patting his shoulder lightly to get his attention. He turned to look at me and smiles shyly.
"Hey, Thank you for meeting me," He said rubbing the back of his neck while blushing.
"Yeah, N- No problem." my eyes widened when I caught myself stuttering.
"I know you probably don't want to see me but I wanted to make things clear about that night-" I raised my hand to stop him from talking.
"You don't have to say anything. Everything was consensual and just a one-time thing." His smile faded and all I could see was pain in his eyes.
"Oh... Okay," He looked away from me and back at the water.
The tense silence was killing me and I felt like I had to say something to ease the tension.
"Can we at least be friends?" My voice was quivering slightly scared this would end badly.
"No" His answer caught me off guard causing me to look up at him.
"What?" I asked shocked.
"No, We can not be friends. I don't care how long it will take me but I will do whatever to show you that you should give me a chance. I will be hitting on you and showing you I am the perfect person for you. That night wasn't just a random hookup for me... I saw you and it was love at first sight. Obviously, one-sided but that's okay" My mouth dropped at his response. I was not expecting any of this which really shocked me.
"Um... Okay...?" I said barely above a whisper in a perplexed tone.
"Well, (Y/N)... Will you go on a date with me?" I was speechless just staring at him. I closed my mouth and nodded.
"Right now?" I asked looking down at my phone.
"When you have time... How about tonight?" I scrolled through the calendar on my phone and saw that I had nothing scheduled for today.
"Um... Yeah, actually tonight would be perfect." His smile grew bigger and he sighed in relief.
"I'll pick you up at 6. Please text me your address." His calm nature with his rough exterior really had me feeling some type of way. He was not my type yet he made my heart flutter.
We walked to the bus stop in silence but it didn't feel uncomfortable or awkward.
"What should I wear?" I asked mentally going through all my clothes options in my closet.
"Something comfortable" I nodded with a slight smile. The bus arrived and people were getting off.
"Well I'll see you tonight," I said waiting for the last person so I could get on.
"Don't worry too much about what to wear... you'll look great in anything" my cheeks flared up which made him chuckle. I waved bye and got on the bus.
