Neomar's POV-
Sage and I have been laying in bed for a little over an hour, they fell asleep awhile ago leaving me to process everything. I was so scared when I saw my baby on the floor, bleeding, barely holding onto consciousness. When they passed out I thought I lost them I couldn't find a first aid pack anywhere.
I adjusted my sitting position on the bed, sages arms where still wrapped around me. I grabbed my phone clicking it on 5pm, After sage came back from doing who knows what then scaring the life out of me they had regressed far past the age they usually regress to. They were in a newborn headspace, I don't know how long they'll stay in that headspace.
I unlocked my phone opening my texts, I clicked on my brothers contact:
Sent- Hey, are you busy?
Dumbass- Just finished ;)
Sent- I'm not even going to ask, can you head over to sages house with my bag?
Dumbass- Ooh, things moving along well
Sent- I don't want to leave them alone.
Dumbads- Yes alpha, I'll be over in 20
Sent- Drive safe
Dumbass- Love you too
I turned off my phone, placing it down on the bed. I turned towards sage giving them a hug then wriggling out of their grip. I check back on them and besides some slight readjustment they're sound asleep.
I get down stairs seeing both sages sister and father sitting in the living room, Rana's mate is in the kitchen cooking food. I sit down on sages chair which I've been informed they don't let anyone else but me sit on, all attention turns towards me, "Are you ok Neomar? " Blunder speaks up feeling the tension, "Just shocked. " I say back not making eye contact, "Wanna talk about it? " Rana speaks up. I look at her unsure, "Come on, let's go for a walk. " Rana says before I can speak, "My brother should be here soon. " I say, "It's all good! " Blunder says, "I'll be back in a bit puppy, be good! " Rana yells out to her mate before grabbing my hand and pulling me to the back door.
We walk through the woods for a bit in science, "So what'd sage do? " Rana asks, "They cut them self then passed out, it was terrifying! " I said letting the tears roll down my cheeks silently, "Hey it's ok, they've been clean for a long time! I think I know what might have set them off though. " Rana held a sympathetic smile on her face, I looked at her confused, "I can't tell you everything that happened to them, but I can tell you my side of what happened. " Rana held the same smile on her face, her tone now matching, "If you wouldn't mind, I'd like to get to know everyone better. Since were all family now! " I smiled trying to lighten the mood. Rana nodded, "When our mother was alive she was a horrible person. Our father was infatuated with her which turned out to be an enchantment she placed on him. Moving forward to when sage and I where toddlers, our uncle had moved back into our pack. He had been pack hopping since early on in his life, when he came here it was a shock to everyone. Everyone was happy to have more family, that didn't last long. Our uncle had only been pack hopping cause he would soon over stay his welcome in each pack, He had committed gods know how many crimes against pretty much every supernatural species which created a lot of problems within our pack. Fast forward about 2 years when I was 8 and sage was 5, Our uncle and mother had been getting really close. One night our mother brought sage and I into the forest with our uncle, a lot of bad stuff happened. Our father had heard our cries through the pack bond and got there before they could do anything to me. He killed our mother and our uncle ran off. Sage wouldn't move for a month, they wouldn't eat, they wouldn't talk, they would barely move their eyes. " Rana had tears rolling down her cheeks. I turned to her and pulled her into a hug, she took a second to calm down before continuing, "Our pack is known to assassinate targets that other packs deem a threat. Sage got assigned a mission last night, I looked over the file. There was barely any information on the guy, not even a picture. From what they said it may have been our uncle. " Rana went quiet, "Thank you for telling me this. I'm sorry both of you had to go through that. " I gave her a reassuring smile, and she returned it. We walked for a bit before Rana suddenly jerked her head, "Father said sage just woke up, we should head back. " Rana explained, I nodded and shifted darting back to the house.
I shift back once I'm stepping onto the back patio followed by rana. I open the back door and see sage sitting in their chair surrounded by stuffies, a cartoon is playing on the TV. A small smile invades my face at the scene, my mate seems unbothered despite everything that's happened, " Sup sis bags in Sage's room! " my brother breaks my thoughts, " Thanks kendle. " I respond to him. Sage must've heard my voice, their attention is now on me a smile is clear on their face. I return a warm smile and they make grabby hands to me. Accepting the offer I go to sit with them scooping them up in my arms and burying my face in their neck, taking in their scent.
Rana speaks up, " Dad has Sage ate today? " I turn my head towards them, sage was hooked on the show babbling every now and then. I see Alpha Blunder peak out from the kitchen, " Probably not. " Rana nods heading into the kitchen. A couple minutes later Rana comes back into the living room placing a plate with strawberries and chicken on the chair. I picked it up and fed the majority of it to Sage till they where pushing my hand away when I offered them food. Luckily they were distracted by the show, they ate most of the plate. Rana came by and picked up the plate more than likely heading into the kitchen, I clicked on my phone seeing it was now around 9pm. I got up picking up Sage and placing them on my hip, I headed to their room.
I shut the door behind us placing a grumpy Sage on the bed I chuckled, " we can watch your cartoon in here baby, but we have to start to wind down. " I explain calmly, they look confused for a second before babbling and making grabby hands at me, ' Poor baby ' I go to pick them up, bringing them to their closet to pick out pajamas. I decide on a brown bear onsie.

I quickly change them before bringing them into the bathroom. I help them brush their teeth and we head over to their bed. I place them under the covers snuggling up next to them and turning on the tv putting on most recently played which happened to be the same cartoon that was on the TV in the living room, Bluey™. I go on my phone while Sage watches their show. Around 10pm Sage is fast asleep suckling on my shirt, I grab their paci from the side table and place it in their mouth. I reach for the remote turning off the TV and wiggling out of bed to get ready for bed as well. I go into my bag that my brother had placed conveniently next to the bed grabbing my toothbrush and pajamas. I go into the bathroom quickly changing and brushing my teeth.

I turn off all the lights in the room before getting into bed with Sage, holding them close to my body. We've only known each other for 3 days but so much had happened, 'holy shit ' I think to myself, this has been the most eventful 3 days of my life. My wolf whines at the replay of the day, seeing your mate hurts, especially when you cant do anything to help in the moment. My breath starts to even as I'm lulled to sleep by sages scent.
