Tanjiro and Yoruichi both stare down Daki, the sadistic Upper Moon demon who was terrorizing the Entertainment District. Said demon stared back at the two demon slayers, a look of disgust and boredom filling her eyes as she looked down upon her prey.
Daki: I'm growing tired of it... (Scowls) So I'm putting an end to you two now...
As Daki scowls her eyes at the two demon slayers, she sends her belts towards the duo, fully intent on killing the two of them. Luckily, Tanjiro had anticipated an attack, where as such, he prepared to use his Hinokami Kagura to fend off the attacks and protect him and his friend.

Immediately following his attack, Tanjiro rushed towards the demon, clenching his sword tightly in his hands, flames steaming from the ends of his mouth, as the young demon slayer prepared to launch his next attack on the vengeful demon of Yoshiwara.

Unfortunately, Daki was able to effortlessly dodge the attack. The demon prepares to retaliate with her own attacks, even mentally commenting on how inferior Tanjiro's attack was when compared to the previous attack.
Daki: That was underwhelming, but...
Fed up with Tanjiro's persistence, and seeing the opening that she made from dodging his flame dance, Daki suddenly sends one of her belts straight through Tanjiro's neck, nearly spelling the young boy's end just as he was starting to master his father's techniques.
