The previous elimination created tension in the house. Jin was on edge, Namjoon attempting to remain neutral to it all. It didn't help that Jimin and Tae chose to push their subplot forward, that way the next episode would keep up the drama. Although that was a smart play that Y/n admired, she desperately needed a break from it all. That led her to where she was currently: at the pool during the day, her body nuzzled against the infamous bunny boy, Jeon Jungkook.

Throughout their twenty-minute cuddle session, he whispered affirmations to her, kissing her head and stroking her hair as needed. She did the same to him. She was on top of him, her head buried against his neck while they bathed in the sun. It was a humid day, their skin sticking together. Neither of them cared. What mattered was they were in each other's presence, and they were forgetting about all the drama happening around them.

Cameras were ushered around, gaining footage of whatever they could. They were sure to get shots of Jungkook and Y/n cuddling, but because of the Taemin subplot, Y/n wasn't a focus. Speaking of subplots, Jin decided to start a subplot with Namjoon, that way episode 7 could tackle the smaller things. The viewers needed a break from the main storyline. The odds were, Y/n would have the least amount of screen time for the entirety of the episode. She was more than fine with that.

"Do you think we should try to get in on the action?" Jungkook asked in a murmur, Y/n peeking up at that. "All I'm doing is sitting here doing nothing. I'm sorry if I'm being useless to the ratings, I just don't like cameras that much."

Y/n stayed on top of him, hovering over his face and placing a hand on his cheek. "Being introverted doesn't mean you're useless, you know."

He sheepishly smiled. "I don't know, I've been told my whole life I should go out more. Go make more friends, see more things. Something about getting life experience."

"You don't need to be an extrovert to get life experience," she replied. "There's nothing wrong with who you are, you just have to go about life in a different way. I'd choose to go out and see the world, you'd choose to stay inside and play Overwatch."

"Overwatch is cool."

"No... no, it really isn't." At his pout, she chuckled and went back to cuddling him, closing her eyes. "I'm serious, Jeon. You shouldn't have to force yourself to be someone you don't want to be. Reality TV doesn't sound like it's for you, and that's okay too."

"I always feel like I'm wearing a mask," he mumbled, rubbing her back. "A different personality depending on who I'm talking to. Is there a way to get rid of that? I have so many masks that sometimes I don't even know which one is the real me. Is it even the real me if it's still a mask I wear depending on who I'm around?"

"I'm not sure." She nuzzled her head against his neck, his soft breaths tickling her skin. "Maybe that's how I've been my whole life too, I just didn't realize it."

"I'm not surprised," he said, snickering. "You've been a reality star since you were a kid. Did you even get the chance to discover who you are? Is that why you can't make decisions?"

Y/n froze up at that. For her entire life up until that point, she adamantly blamed her parents for her lack of decision-making skills. Was it actually Y/n's fault for never taking the time to know who she was? The truth was, she thought she knew who she was. A young girl with a lot of love for her younger sister. Selfish at times, scared of being yelled at, and honest to the point where it hurt her. But how did she know that was who she was? Was there a foolproof way to determine who she was? Did anyone truly know who they were, or were they just puppets putting on a different performance depending on the day?
