Chapter 7: The Birth Of The Spirit, Efreet

Shido looked at the city which was on fire from the window of his sister's room. A frown was on his face as he saw the distant flames.

"....why the fuck couldn't she do this once the sun is up. It's two in the morning." Shido growled in annoyance at the time Phantom had turned Kotori into a Spirit.

A sigh escaped his lips as he didn't know what to do now. He thought on the options he could think right now.

"If I leave Kotori, she's no doubt going to be constantly going on a never ending rampage if I remember correctly that her power makes her a bloodthirsty berserker." He thought on his first option which was horrible and an asshole move but was most logical.

"It's not like I would survive getting to her through that fire, I'm physically 11 with no abilities to defend myself....going near that fire is just a death sentence." He thought on his second option which was going towards Kotori and trying to calm her down which has the highest probability of getting himself killed by his sister or the fire.

"Ugh....what the fuck is Mio thinking!? Does she really expect an 11 year old to survive this!?" Shido internally groaned once again at the situation he has been put in.

"Shido!? Kotori!?" Shido heard his father's voice as the door to Kotori's room slammed open.

Both Shido and Tatsuo stared at each other before Tatsuo then noticed that Kotori was not in her room.

"Where's your sister?" Tatsuo looked at Shido with worry in his eyes.

"....I don't know." Shido knew where she is, it was true he knew she would be at the fire, but he didn't know where in the fire she was in.

"W-what?! Shido where is she?!"

"I don't know. Kotori wasn't in this room when I entered but I saw her window open....I think she was kidnapped in her sleep."

"W-wha!? We need to- Kotori! Haruko!" Shido watched as Tatsuo shouted and calling Haruko. In less than a minute, Haruko Itsuka had appeared before them in sleepwear.

"Takkun, what is it!?" Haruko looked at her family as she then noticed that Kotori was missing.

"It's Kotori. She's missing." Haruko's eyes widened at what she heard from her husband.

"What!?"

"Shido said she wasn't in her room when he entered but saw that the window was open....Shido and I think Kotori might have been taken in her slee-"

"My baby girl is kidnapped!?" Haruko had a panicked expression on her face.

The three Itsuka's didn't know what to do in this situation. With the fire that was rapidly spreading through the city and their sister/daughter missing and quite possibly kidnapped, they were clueless on what to do.

arlier before the fire, Kotori woke up in a park all alone.

"Huh...? Where?" Kotori was confused on why she was in a park all alone in nothing but her sleepwear. She stood up on her feet but was a little uncomfortable without wearing any footwear.

"Mom?! Dad!? Shido!?" Kotori had quickly realized she was not asleep and dreaming and was indeed all alone in a park. Tears started to form out of her eyes due to panic.

"Hello there." A glitchy voice spoke behind Kotori.

Kotori immediately turned around on hearing the voice as she saw a glitchy female humanoid figure floating behind her.
