Somewhere in Malkuth. In the home of Yue Hiryu. Shido laid back on the living room couch with Yue sitting on the opposite end of where Shido was on said couch.
"So.....when am I gonna get my own Unsigned Angel...? It's been month now." Shido looked at Yue with a bit impatience. He's really looking foward to having a power that he could use that wasn't drop dead useless to him.
"Ah...well...you see...." Yue scratched the back of her head as she explained on why he hasn't gotten his own Unsigned Angel.
Shido immediately frowned as he knew there even MORE complications on why he doesn't have an Unsigned Angel that wasn't his own.
"....let me guess, there aren't any Unsigned Angel's that are just conveniently laying around that are just asking to be picked up. And those that are around, all have owners don't they?"
"Yup! Exactly! I haven't really been lucky lately in finding Quasi-Spirits that are eager for a fight to the death. So taking them after they died is pretty challenging for me...haha..." Yue laughed nervously with a dissapointed look on her face.
Shido blink as he heard what she said.
"Hold up. You've been going into life and death battles just to get me an Unsigned Angel?" Shido asked her. He wasn't sure if he heard her right.
"Aha...now that I hear it outloud, that does sound pretty bad..." Shido looked at her with a raised eyebrow.
"Ya think?" His expression, now showing concern for his....friend? Associate? Companion? He wasn't sure what their relationship was really. He decided to go with fellow Quasi-Spirit in his head.
"But I wouldn't worry about me. I get into fights all the time! I enjoy it actually. And if I can help you while doing what I like, I don't see a problem." Yue said with a shrug, genuinely not seing a reason why he should worry.
Shido narrowed his eyes at her. "Your really not concerned that...you might...you know...die?"
He already experienced death twice now. And knowing what was on the otherside was....concerning for him.
He had many questions if the afterlife was just blank nothingness for everyone or it was just his afterlife that will be just a black void.
Yue shook her head. "Not really...."
"You've died once. Wouldn't you wanna try and avoid dying twice?" Shido asked.
"I appreciate the concern. But having a good fight is how I live." She gave him an expression that told him she wasn't backing down on her way of life.
Shido stared at her. Then sighed.
"Huh...your a battlejunkie as well huh. Sure, if that's your way of lkfe then, so be it." He shrugged at her while she looked at him confusingly.
"Wait! Isn't this where you try to convince me otherwise?"
He then gave her a deadpan look. "If you tell a child to not do something they have always done, they will still do it regardless."
Yue looked at him with an annoyed glare.
"Hey! I'm older than you!"
Shido smirks at her. "Only in body. Your mind needs growing up."
"I have longer than you!"
Again. The motherfucker continued to smirk smugly.
"The fact that reacting to this, means that you are far from a grownup. How long you lived means nothing, to me, you are a child like me."
