Lillie's POV
I returned to my family as Elijah had promised. My siblings and aunt had barely let me out of their sight since my return. Mainly Elena and Jeremy. As they had made one of the Salvatores compel Aunt Jenna to believe I was at a friends house.
Anyway I was hanging out with Elena when the Salvatores appeared. Wanting to talk to her. Apparently Katherine had offered a deal to them In exchange for her freedom, she'd hand over the moonstone and leave town forever. I didn't want her to go, she was a huge part in one of my past lives. There was still so much I wanted to ask her about.
"You don't believe her, do you?" Elena asks the pair.
"No, of course not. We just want the moonstone" Damon tells her.
"According to Rose's friend Slater, there's a way to destroy the spell that Klaus wants to break" Stefan explains.
"No spell, no doppelgänger sacrifice. Ergo, you live" Damon states. I smile.
"I like the sound of that Elena" I say as I hug her.
"How do you guys even know this is gonna work?" she asks them.
"Cause we have a crafty witch on our side" Damon tells her.
"You discussed it with Bonnie?" Elena asks them shocked.
"She agreed to do anything she could to help us" Stefan tells her.
"It's Katherine who has the moonstone. She's not gonna give it to you" Elena tells them.
"She has a point" I tell them.
"We're gonna get it from her" Stefan tells us.
"Well, what he means to say is, we will pry it from her cold, dead hand if we have too" Damon adds.
"Damon, there's a child present" Elena reminds him annoyed covering my ears. I shoo her hands away. Glaring at Damon, they aren't hurting Katerina.
"Bonnie just needs to find a way to release the seal long enough for us to get in, get the moonstone, and get out in time for her to return it" Stefan explains.
"Wow. I mean, it sounds like you guys already have it all planned out" Elena states.
"Yep. We're awesome" Damon says cockily.
"Except for one thing. I don't want you to do it" Elena tells them. I look at her shocked. This could save her life and I could have both my sisters. If only I had Rebekah also. She was always doing Nora's hair and singing to her.
"What are you talking about? Elena, we don't have a choice" Stefan tells her.
"What about Klaus?" she asks them.
"We'll find him right after we get the moonstone" Stefan assures her.
"Is that before or after he kills everyone that I care about, including the two of you and Lillie?" Elena asks them. Damon looks a little startled that she included him in the list of people she cares about.
"Elena, if we can de-spell the moonstone, we can save your life" Stefan tells her.
"I know. Everybody keeps saying that" she mutters and leads me away from the Salvatores. "Lillie, there's something I have to do. Can you stay here?" she asks me.
"Why can't I come?" I ask her.
"I don't want anything to happen to you" she states.
"So it's dangerous?" I ask her.
"For you, yes. For me, no" she tells me. "Will you stay here?" she asks me. I nod my head with a smile, while having my fingers crossed behind my back.
(Time skip)
So I followed Elena to the Salvatores. Then followed her and Rose to Richmond. I had a bad feeling Elena is going to do something stupid. So I took out my phone, which I am only to use in emergencies and dial Damon. As he's my first contact after Alaric. Who I know it busy today.
"How is it?" Damon asks.
"Damon, it's Lillie" I tell him.
"Something wrong?" he asks me.
"I think so, Elena had Rose take her to Richmond" I state.
"She's where?!" he demands. "Wait, where are you?" he asks.
"Outside some apartment building in Richmond. Elena went inside with Rose" I tell him.
"Stay right there, I'm on my way" he tells me and hangs up. When he arrives we enter the building and he holds my hand. We entered an apartment and he snuck up behind Elena as I stayed behind him. "What are you doing here?" he asks her. Startling her.
"What are you doing here?" she asks him as Rose appears. "You called him?" Elena asks her.
"No, I did" I say as I sand beside Damon.
"You brought my little sister?" Elena demands.
"She was already here. She followed you two" he states. Just then a young woman enters the room and looks at Damon starstruck.
"Damon Salvatore" she says in awe.
"Get rid of here" Damon tells Rose who grabs the girl and leads her from the room. As she said 'no way'. "Come on, we're leaving" Damon tells Elena.
"I'm not going with you, take my little sister home" Elena tells him.
"You do not get to make decisions anymore" he tells her annoyed.
"When have I ever made a decision? You and Stefan do that for me. Now this, this is my decision" she tells him.
"Who's gonna save your life while you're out making decisions?" Damon asks her.
"You're not listening to me, Damon. I don't want to be saved. Not if it means that Klaus is gonna kill every single person that I love" she tells him.
"Get your ass out the door with Lillie, before I throw you over my shoulder and carry you out myself" Damon threatens her. Damon grasps her arm tightly. Elena struggles and releases herself from his grip. Elena throws a punch at Damon. Damon clutches her fist in his hand and moves in towards her. I gasp in shock with Elena. "Don't ever do that again" he tells her.
"Can we go home now?" I ask them.
"One moment" Damon tells me. He releases her fist from his grasp and walks away. Elena stands there, horrified. He soon reenters the room with Rose as I hold Elena's hand. "Time to go. Alice is soundly sleeping and won't remember a moment of this horribly stupid day" he announces.
Suddenly, the front doors burst open and three men walk into the apartment. Damon turns his head to look at them. As Rose stands by Elena as Elena put me behind her. "We're here to meet the doppelgänger" one of the men states.
"Thank you for coming" Elena says going to step forward. Damon pushes her back gently. He whispers something to her, before looking at the men.
"There's nothing here for you" he tells the man who spoke. The man in the back suddenly drops to the floor, dead. Elijah stands behind him. He gives me a look and I cover ears & close my eyes. I soon feel someone pick me up and smell Damon's cologne.
We're soon in his car and he's taking us home. "Why did you follow me? I told you to stay home" Elena reminds me.
"I had a bad feeling, I don't want to lose you Elena" I tell her. She sighs and the rest of the trip was silent. Damon got us some food on the way back and walked us to our door. When we arrived we found out that Stefan was stuck in the tomb with Kathrine. Elena went to see him with Damon. "You're hurt" I say concerned looking at the bandage on Jeremy's neck.
"It's just a scratch" he assures me. "How about a movie?" he asks me. I nod my head and we went into the living room. I picked out the movie while he got snacks. I fell asleep as we watched Cats and Dogs 2.
