Daemons pov
I stand off to the side in the first row as she walks down the isle in a beautiful dress her hair braided. I stand and listen as viserys names her the heir to the iron throne and she looks to me and I smile and nod her way. If he disinherited me and chose someone else I'd be pissed. It being her that he chose makes it impossible for me to be anything but happy and proud. She's been through a lot and now she's getting what she deserves and is owed. I kneel before her as does everyone. I watch as the lords swear their fealty to her.

Soon it's over and I walk to her "I too would like to swear my fealty and life to you" I say and she chuckles "you're to be my husband there's no need" I brush her loose strands behind her ear "you're still my queen to be" she grins "I already know you'll be loyal to me no need to swear it daemon" I kiss her forehead "good"

Days later

Delaerys pov
I stand over the guard daemon behind me and beside me. I'm to choose my guard. I ask "how am I to know about their techniques and their abilities if they don't fight for me to see? And how many of these men have actual experience fighting outside of a tourney?" Daemon chuckles as does ser Harrold. "Princess you just have to choose" Ser Harrold says.

I tell him "blindly? You want me to choose someone who's supposed to protect me and my future family blindly? That might've worked with everyone before me but it won't with me. I bet I can beat every man down there honestly" daemon says "I bet you could...why not show them? How are they to protect you if you could defeat them?" Egging me on and ser Harrold says "that is not a good idea" as I grab the sword that daemon hands me and he kisses my lips softly "careful" I nod and ser Harrold says "princess viserys would have my head if you get hurt" "it's them that should be worried" I say and add to the men "you'll be going against me the one who gets closest to defeating me gets put on my guard" one speaks "your Grace we shouldn't we could hurt you" "I'll be sure not to hurt you. I'll be fine" I say and head down to them.
