Delaerys' pov
I wake hours later and look and see my husband and daughter asleep in a chair. I smile at them and get out of bed for the first time. I wince at the pain but push through it. I touch Jahaena gently and start taking her when daemons eyes pop open his hand on my wrist. "It's just me my love" he sits up "what are you doing out of bed my love? The maester said you had one of the roughest successful births he's ever seen and you need to be in bed" I kiss him gently "I know. But you looked uncomfortable and I was going to take her to her crib to rest with her chosen egg and then make you lay with me instead of in a chair"

He says "I have no problem holding her and sleeping my love" I look down at our sleeping daughter and say "she could wake in a bit then you can have her all you want daemon. But she should really be in her crib and with her egg" he nods "I know... I just...can't believe she's here you know? And now that she is I don't want to let her go" "she's safest with us and she still will be. That chair couldn't have been comfortable for you my love. Come to bed" I tell him and he nods standing and we walk to the crib and he sets her down next to the egg. She fusses a bit and I coo "shh it's okay my love" kissing her forehead as she relaxes.

Once we're sure she's asleep I take daemons hand and lead him to bed still tired. On the way back over he picks me up noticing my hesitant steps from slight discomfort and pain. He sets me down in bed and strips to his bed clothes and gets in with me. I lay my head on his chest and he kisses my head "I love you" I look up at him "I love you daemon" he smiles and kisses me softly "I can't thank you enough for what you've given me my love, and the sacrifice you've made by doing so" I caress his cheek "you do not need to thank me my love. I wanted this just as you did." He kisses me again and with that we go to sleep again.
