(Jimin's POV)
Once we got to Taehyung's, it didn't take long for Jing-Mi to pack what she needed and for us to be on the road. I sat in the back of the car while Jing-Mi sat in front next to Taehyung.
Oddly enough, Taehyung was quiet for much of the duration of the two hour drive. Then again, given what's happened in the past 24-48 hours, it's not too much of a shock either. Hopefully this trip will do all three of us some good.
When we arrived at Taehyung's parents' house, I smiled as not much about it has changed; even after all this time. It still looked the same. I saw Taehyung's parents and sister standing on the front porch, smiling widely as Taehyung pulled up closer. The second he stopped, Hye-Ri ran towards the car and stopped once she got to the driver's side of the car.
"Taehyungie!" Hye-Ri excitedly yelled as Taehyung got out of the car. She immediately wrapped her arms around Taehyung. I smiled and then I quickly got out of the backseat. As I opened the passenger door for her, Jing-Mi smiled widely.
"Oh why thank you, Mr. Park." Jing-Mi chuckled. I'm glad to see her spirits are up already.
"The pleasure is all mine, Miss Song." I teased as I winked at her. She immediately started to blush and I felt my heart flutter. She always has those cute, subtle ways of making my heart skip a beat. As I closed the door, Taehyung's parents started walking toward us. The second they reached us, Taehyung's mom immediately wrapped her arms around Jing-Mi.
"Oh Jing-Mi, we're so happy that you came home with Taehyung! We've missed you!" Taehyung's mom said excitedly.
"I've missed you too Aunt Hee-Jae and you too, Uncle Bo-Yun." Jing-Mi muttered. Just then, Taehyung's dad made eye contact with me and I swallowed hard as a sudden feeling of nervousness came over me.
"Park Jimin, long time no see." Bo-Yun said in a warm tone. "I see you've been well."
"Yes, I have." I replied. Taehyung and Hye-Ri then made their way over to us.
"Oh," Jing-Mi chuckled. "Aunt Hee-Jae, Uncle Bo-Yun...Jimin and I are together."
"As in together, together?" Hee-Jae asked excitedly with a sparkle in her eye.
"Mom!" Taehyung groaned as he rolled his eyes. We all started to laugh at Taehyung's response.
"Yes," Jing-Mi and I both said in unison. Hee-Jae's mouth dropped open and she covered it, a look of excitement washed over her face.
"Taehyung actually set us up," I added in. Before we could even utter anything else, Hee-Jae wrapped Jing-Mi and I both up in a hug and started jumping up and down.
"Ahhhh!" Hee-Jae screamed. "This is so exciting! Bo-Yun, isn't this great? I remember when Jing-Mi was little, how she always said she wanted to marry someone your dad's name!"
I could see Jing-Mi blushing and turning every possible shade of red. Hee-Jae then unwrapped her arms from around us and walked over to Taehyung, gently pinching his cheeks.
"Look at my TaeTae playing matchmaker!" Hee-Jae teased.
"It is dear, but instead of fangirling, why don't we help them unpack?" Bo-Yun chuckled.
Taehyung's parents haven't changed a bit, even after all this time. I noticed that Hye-Ri was staring at me, a small frown on her face. She then walked up to me and kept her eyes locked on me.
