  -Present day-

(Jing-Mi's POV)

"Song Jing-Mi! HELLOOOOOOO! WAKE UP DAMNIT!" a deep voice yelled. "SONG JING-MI! WAAAAAAAAAKE UP!"

My eyes pop open and next thing I know, Taehyung is shaking the living shit out of me. I pull away from him and started breathing heavily.

"Jesus Tae...what are you trying to do? Kill me?" I snapped as I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Well...at least now you're finally awake. You fell asleep during the last few minutes of Parasyte, and slept on the couch all night."

"I didn't drink that much did I?" I asked, rubbing my head. Taehyung pressed his lips together and then sat down on the couch next to me.

"No, but you're such a lightweight, you're practically done after one drink. Yoongi, Jin and Namjoon have a much higher alcohol tolerance than you do. Even Jungkook does."

"Oh...I guess they all left?" I asked, still feeling half-asleep.

"Duh," Taehyung teased. "They're obviously not here. But...I do have a friend coming over later tonight and I'd like for you to meet him, I think you'd really like him."

"Umm....okay?..." I replied, followed by sighing heavily. Taehyung then placed his hand over mine and patted it gently.

"Jing-Mi..." Taehyung responded in a deep tone. "I think you'll really like him. You know I wouldn't try to set you up with someone who would hurt you. You and I are family, so I've got your back. Plus, if he would hypothetically hurt you in any way, he's dead. Remember what happened when--"

"Yes, Taehyung, I remember when I got bullied by Jeon Hee-So. You then proceeded to beat the shit out of him for taking my lunch. Then...you got suspended."

"Yeah, turns out I must have our grandfather's rough around the edges attitude, huh?" Taehyung laughed. Then I started to laugh, reminiscing about the incident.

"Well...those genes had to go somewhere didn't they? You just happened to get all of it." I chuckled. Taehyung's boxy smile faded and he furrowed his eyebrows, with a serious  expression on his face.

"No, no. You're a bit rough around the edges too, ya know." Taehyung said in a serious tone. "You're not all sunshine and rainbows 24/7."

"Oh please, give it a rest." I replied as I playfully smacked his shoulder.

"Hey, sometimes you have that resting bitch face on all the time." Taehyung teased as he poked my cheek with his pointer finger.

"I do not!" I snapped. "It's not my fault that I work at an office job that's a bit tiring."

"Um...technically, yes it is." Taehyung laughed. "You didn't have to take the job, but you chose to. You had other offers didn't you?"

"Well...yeah... but at least the money is good where I'm at though." I chuckled. "I couldn't turn it down. Plus, Mr. Park is usually in a good mood more often than not."

"Oh Jing-Mi...money isn't everything, you know that." Taehyung teased.

"I know, trust me I know. I just want to be able to save as much money as I can." I sighed. I then took in a deep breath and there was a brief moment of silence between Taehyung and I.
