"You've got to be fucking kidding me" said Danny, honestly feeling like he was imaging the very clear thing in front of him.
"Surprise" replied Milo, squinting slightly because he wasn't sure how the others were going to react. In the end, all three of them sped over to him and wrapped their arms around his body, squeezing him tight in the hopes that this time he might not disappear. "This is lovely but you're all sort of crushing me."
"Where the hell have you been?" Asked Cassie as everyone separated, also punching Milo in the stomach.
"Yeah dude, how many times are you going to die and then come back?" Added Ani, still looking shocked.
"Yeah well... about that" answered Milo, groaning a little and gently rubbing where Cassie possibly injured him. He didn't miss that they'd noticed his wincing. "Oh this, it's nothing. All part of the tale."
"So are we actually going to here this tale or are we all just going to carry on standing around here as if we've just summoned the dead" said Danny, raising his eyebrows.
"God, where do I even begin?" Replied Milo, swallowing hard and starting to think. "It's a long story."
*3 Months Earlier*
A single tear rolled down one of his cheeks, Milo not attempting to stop it even as it reached his chin and then ran down his neck. This was it. This was the moment there was no coming back from. Taking a deep breath and then letting it go, Milo took a step and jumped. The fall didn't last very long, only a few meters of nothingness and then a rather uncomfortable landing onto a large pile of rubbish bags. Milo hadn't specifically known they were there, only knowing that there was a lot of rubbish behind the building and sort of hoping there would be enough to soften his landing. Sure he might have slightly injured his spine and now he might stink a little bit but that's what it took for this work then Milo was going to deal with it. He'd dealt with a lot worse after all. As Milo quickly stood up just before the window above his head shattered because of the increased heat inside of the building, he searched for the back pack he'd just knocked of the roof before him. He probably should have watched where it landed, assuming it would have made contact with the ground somewhere in the same surrounding area as him. Eventually Milo found it lying at the side of the rubbish pile since it obviously rolled that way instead. He grabbed it and this time placed it on his body where it was designed to be placed. Milo took one last look at the burning building behind him, whilst thinking about his friends and hoping they were doing alright, before taking another breathe and then getting on with it.
- THE JOB -
Intro song: Fidelio - Tom Hillock - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdW0TYok5NIAfter leaving the gang hideout, Milo crept around the side of the building and passed by all the Reyes gang members he could. Some were too much in the way and others thought they might have spotted something so became a bigger issue. Milo dealt with them in the same way he dealt with the previous two inside, by quickly ending their lives or handling them in a way that meant they would no longer be a problem. He killed three of them and brutally injured a fourth. Two died from simple gunshots to either the side or back of the head and the last was killed from Milo sneaking up behind and pushing him into a large group of flames. The Reyes gang member that was only injured was so by Milo creeping up close to him around a corner and then using a random brick to break the man's leg backwards. He fell to the floor screaming meaning Milo then had time to kick away his gun and proceed to beat the ever living hell out of him with the same brick. Honestly Milo was planning on killing him as well but must have left a few brick swings too early. Milo lifted his hood and hid his face as much as possible before casually making his way into the large crowd of people that was gathering in front of the gang hideout. He probably didn't even need to hide himself since everyone was too busy watching the building burn and not who might be pushing past them on the street.
