Part 43: Angel Of The Morning

"Milo it was over, you don't need to keep fighting" said Danny. "And to be honest it doesn't look like you can take much more of it."

"I can't just let them win, not after everything I did... after everything we did" replied Milo, putting emphasis on the 'we'. " We deserve complete freedom... we deserve absolute peace."

"We will always stand by you, even when you make terrible decisions and there's no point in doing anything" said Cassie, sighing. "But right now, given all the things that have happened and that are currently still happening... what feasible options do we actually have?"

"Let's not kid ourselves, Milo has already thought of everything" replied Ani, smirking and shaking her head slightly. "Go on then, what's the plan?"

"Well actually, a lot of it involves you" said Milo. "Since you're so close with Arturo and you're already on the inside, I thought you might be able to be our inside man."

"First of all, I'm not just close with Arturo, we're full on dating and have been for months now" replied Ani, clarifying.

"Oh you're actually together... that's cute" said Milo under his breathe. "How did I not know that from watching you then entire time?"

"And second, I don't know if having an inside man is going to work" finished Ani. "I've seen people double cross, or should I say try to double cross, the Reyes gang in the past and it's never worked out well for any of them."

"That's why this time is going to be different" said Milo, smiling. "You're not just some random member or worker in the warehouse, you're going out with an actual Reyes. They trust you more than they would those other people."

"He has a point" replied Cassie, biting her lip and crossing her arms. "We know for a fact you can get close to them and important information they have. I mean, you did it a few times in the past when you and Arturo were first starting to get to know one another."

"True... what do you think?" Asked Ani, looking at Danny who was then distracted from staring at Milo. "Danny, I asked what you think about all of this."

"Sorry, I'm honestly still processing the whole our friend isn't dead thing" answered Danny, pursing his lips.

"Seriously dude, get over that" tutted Cassie, rolling her eyes. "We moved on from that ages ago."

"Alright well, it doesn't seem like anyone thinks it's a completely horrible idea" said Ani, sighing. "So I guess I'm now you're man on the inside."

"Great" replied Milo, his mouth suddenly becoming incredibly dry and his thoughts beginning to wander as Ani used the term that had once been used for Diego.

"So is Ani putting herself in possible danger the only part of your plan?" Questioned Danny, wanting to seem prepared but coming off as overprotective. Which wasn't necessarily a bad thing. "Or is there more?"

"No, in fact, Ani being the man on the inside is only a small part of it" responded Milo, smirking. "The main thing we're going to do is take out the main four one by one. Slowly but gradually striping away their control and power until there is nothing left for them to control."

"When you say 'take them out', what exactly do you mean?" Wondered Cassie, squinting her eyes.

"And remind me who the main four are again" added Danny, mimicking Cassie's facial expression.

"The main four are is Ricardo Reyes and his three brothers" responded Milo. "And when I say 'take them out', I mean we're going to kill them. I thought that would have been obvious."

"Yeah it is what I thought you meant but I wasn't completely sure because it's totally insane" said Cassie. "How do you even plan on doing that? They're extremely capable and they've been in this life a lot longer than us so they're probably used to people trying to kill them. Meaning they know how to handle themselves."
