It was later in the evening. The sun was already setting in the west, turning the dark sky into a glowing spectacle. Taylor stood at the window of her hotel room, oblivious to the natural phenomenon before her eyes. She was too preoccupied with her own emotional state. The last 24 hours had been extremely nerve-wracking and a mental roller coaster.

Yesterday she had thought that she would finally be able to start a new life as a married couple with the man she loved more than anything else and reunite her family. Once again, her dream was shattered in million pieces. The night that was supposed to be her wedding night, she had lain on her bed for hours crying in despair while her groom lay in the arms of her greatest nemesis. Taylor's mind drifted back to last night. She remembered; she had stood in front of the mirror and was suddenly disgusted with herself. She had faced reality unsparingly in the eye. There had been times in her life when she had been proud to be an independent, self-confident, strong woman who could stand up for herself and her values. And what kind of a person was she now? An insecure pathetic wreck, who gave up all her self-respect to cling to a man in an embarrassing desperate way even if this said man had given his heart to another woman long ago. She had sunk so low that her children were willing to risk everything to protect her and not the other way around, as it should be. Both of them did not even back away from lies and deceit just to ensure the happiness of their mother. It could hardly get any worse.

All at once Taylor realized she had to change her life without compromise. She would take back control of her life. She wanted to become the strong powerful mother she used to be, who could offer strength and support to her children. She realized in Los Angeles she would never achieve this goal, she would start a new life somewhere else. In a fit of actionism, she had begun to pack up her stuff and prepare to leave. Early in the morning she had finally left and had been on the road all day only with the attempt of leaving Los Angeles, the Forresters and all the recent events behind her.

Taylors mind returned to the now. Tired and exhausted, she headed to bed. Before she shut her eyes, she thought about Thomas and Steffy. Leaving her children alone was the hardest part of her plan, even though she knew she was also doing it for their sake. She missed them and knew she would miss them in the future. She prayed that Ridge and the family would take good care of the kids and would give them the attention they needed. With a few tears in her eyes but also confidence and anticipation in her heart, she finally fell asleep.
