"Another round for y'all" Coyote howled eagerly as he walked over with another tray full of drinks. Everyone erupted in cheers as they took glasses off the tray and chugged the liquid inside.

One full drink remained on the tray and hangman pulled his face in a confused look. He was still slumped over a small sofa that sat against the wall, Dani and Phoenix were 2/3 points into an intense game of pool.

"Who's that one for?" Hangman looked at Coyote referring to the extra drink.

"Rooster. He text me, says he's coming down in a bit." Coyote told him and the group, everyone seemed keen on the extra party but Jake rolled his eyes.

"Rooster?" Daniella questioned the unfamiliar name as she watched Nat take her shot.

"Shit." Nat breathed out when the name sunk in, she turned to Dani with a nervous expression.

She pulled Dani's pool cue off her gently and tilted both Dani's and her own over to fanboy and Bob.

"Play for us for a bit." She smiled and they didn't deny the free game, taking the sticks out of Phoenix's possession.

"What?" Dani watched in confusion but before long Nat grabbed Daniella's wrist and pulled her through the jumping bar and into the calmness of outside. 

The night time San Diego air was mild and sent shivers through Dani's bare arms, Nat's worried expression caused Daniella to panic. "What's going on." Dani tried to smile to hide her fear at her friend's silence.

Phoenix became to pace, tapping her fingers together and stammering out words.

"You're going hate me- I should have told you- but- but I didn't think you'd be back anytime soon- and...Shit!" She mumbled off at speed of alarm. Daniella held onto her friend's shoulders to calm her down.

"Nat, what the fuck is it." Daniella laughed at her friend's nerve.

"Rooster. it's Bradly." Phoenix let out bluntly, scanning Daniella for a reaction.

"As in-"

"-Bradly Bradshaw." Nat finished.

Bradly fuck face Bradshaw.

A man Daniella had hoped she'd never have to speak to again. A man she hated. Tho the hate for the boy hadn't always been the way Dani had felt towards him. Care, respect and even love were emotions she had onetime felt towards him.

As young children, Bradley and Daniella had stayed next door to one another and found themselves with an incredible and unbreakable friendship through their teens and even into early adulthood. Their friendship was pure and built on trust. They changed around each other for the good. They found themselves letting down all barriers that they had to keep up for the real world when together.

Their friendship meant that Daniella was like family to the Bradshaws. She cherished that with all her heart. The lack of Dani's father being present cause Bradley's dad, Goose, to act as a father to the young girl. Goose was a man Daniella and Bradley respected and looked up to immensely, tho they were both incredibly young when Goose passed, they never forgot the man and found themselves continuing to proceed in his honour, still to this day.  

Daniella loved Bradley, and Bradley loved her even more. Everything they did, they did together. Whether bad or good.

Although, things changed when Bradley turned 20 and decided to live up to his dream of following in his father's footsteps in the NAVY. Daniella had never been prouder of the boy and encouraged him immensely, tho when Bradley got closer to his achievements, eagerness took over.
