A Threat

(Quick reminder that this is a fan fiction so not everything will be cannon. The majority of it is just made up by me for a story and I hope that's ok.)

"It's probably a trick! Somebody's got some crazy quirk and just trying to mess with us!" Venti yelled; fury filled his voice.

If the wall to the cabin hadn't been so thick, he would have surely woken someone up. It had only been half an hour since their classmates cleaned up the campfire, so it was now probably around 10:30...? The archons were currently arguing about the past hour's events.

"If someone had this 'quirk' someone would have to imitate it. Meaning they would have to know what it looks like by being from Teyvat. There are limitations on quirks remember. Especially imitation quirks." Ei said pondering how the creature possibly got here.

"The longer we stay here the more of a threat we are to the students." Zhongli said calmly.

"Where would we stay!? Even better question, what are we going to do when the school starts tracking us down on our mysterious disappearance!?" Venti yelled back, worry clouding his thoughts.

"The students can certainly defend themselves, proven by the fight with the so called 'villains' earlier. They are not completely incapable of defending themselves. But when its them we are talking about..." Ei said not keeping up with Venti and Zhongli's arguing.

You're probably wondering what they are talking about, correct? They don't know themselves. Well, they loosely do. They only know very little for certain and that was the source of their existence. And if she's back...

War threatens to break loose.

All because of who they formally served. Looking back on it, it was a foolish decision. But when you are offered the status of a God and it is said there are no strings attached you dont think twice about the decision. Liars can say anything though.

All because of one selfish being.

One everyone praises.

Celestia.

Her and her little faithful servants. Thats what the archons were. Servants, serving their master blindly.

Celestia was defeated by the archons years ago when the archons had finally had enough of their foolish actions. The fight was expressly kept away from citizens ears. They still believe in Celestia. If told otherwise it would most likely cause a rebellion.

Celestia cannot be completely defeated, it's impossible.

She will always have a chance to come back. Even if she can't fully yet, she can make others do her bidding. Not matter who, if you are seen as worthy, she will manipulate you to her work. And those poor souls were now the ones tracking them down.

But how?

They couldn't use Istaroths clocks, could they? What if they didn't need the clocks...? What if she was also manipul...

No. Foolish thought.

Venti knew that.

They were best friends. She was strong. Both in power and mind. She wouldn't be tricked easily.

"For now, we shall stick here with the other students. They don't need our protection as they aren't from our nations, and they can supply our needs until our time is up." Zhongli said assertively, snapping both Ei and Venti out of their thoughts.

"We can play along with the idea that they are villains if they are revealed to the rest. They will automatically class them as villains if they even seem to pose a threat. From what I have seen, anyone who fights with these 'trainee heroes' are automatically called something like the LOV or something similar. It would be a good enough reason to not attract questions to ourselves about these 'newfound villains'. if they say anything referring to us. We are also on the UA system now, so it is not hard to find our 'names'." Zhongli says continuing his statement.

"We will be leaving this place soon. Depending on how many there are of these threats, we may be able to lose them." Ei said "Also I believe this may be valuable information, I overheard a conversation between those supervisors. It was about some recent quirk malfunction wave that has been affecting many quirk users. It is believed to be caused by a villain yet a quirk like this, especially on this scale, has never been recorded before."

"Due to us being here there could be many issues with our presence here. This universe has had an effect on our appearance. Yet nobody seems to have noticed anything diffrent with this world. This is all speculation of course but I believe this is still a possible option that we are the cause." Zhongli stated.

"It is strange. I don't know much about crossing worlds but one thing I remember Istaroth taught me about it is that both parties will be affected if you enter another world." Venti said trying his best to calm down from his previous fit of anger.

"A quirk malfunction... Our 'powers' are not called quirk or develop like them. Is it possible for it to happen to us?" Ei said.

"It's hard to answer such questions currently as we don't have access to the television right now due to the former fight that left the electricity in shambles. If it wasn't in such a terrible state right now, we could probably find out more by the news if it is such as worrisome topic... Do our phones currently work?" Zhongli wondered.

"Nope! Already checked..." Venti said defeatedly.

The archons sighed and resumed to silence, left alone with their thoughts.
