I look out of my open window, and let the soft breeze blow my hair as I breathe in the fresh air. I smoothe out the ends of my dress and go over to my vanity.
I stare at my reflection and just look like a simple girl. My dark hair curles near the end, and i bring a strand back from the the side of the front of my head to pull back with a pin. My face looks fresh and clean and I apply some mascara, and a little bit of blush to add a little bit of color to my cheeks. Lastly, I put on some chapstik that makes my lips look a little shiny and pink, pick up my phone, and walk down the stairs.
My mum is out somewhere so I just leave and get in my car and drive. I roll down all the windows, and open the sun roof and just feel so free. I inhale deeply, and am feeling so good right now. I take a look at the horizon, and glance at the sun, which is almost set, with the sky beginning to turn a beautiful pink and orange. Soon, I pull into the parking lot and surprised to see that no one is here, with the exception of a few cars. I curiously begin to wonder which car belongs to Harry- if he's here yet.
I walk down to the meadow, just as the sun has begun to set in the colorful sky. I see a figure sitting in the middle of a splash of colors of flowers- where Harry and I had laid the night before.
I continue to walk down and see the curly hair and feel butterflies released in my tummy. He turns around as I take a step closer, and his smile is perfect, as his dimples are kindly exposed.
"El?" he grins, standing up.
I suddenly feel disappointed as he doesn't know my real name, but I love the way he pronounces the single syllable name, and the way his tongue rests on the roof of his mouth when he says it...
My thoughts are interrupted with myself making my stop thinking that way about Harry.
"Hey," I say, shyly.
He takes a few steps closer to me and is still smiling down at me.
"Come here," says Harry, taking my hand in his, and holding it gently.
I don't resist and let him hold my hand. Harry bends down and whispers and my ear, "Close your eyes."
I do as I am told, trusting that he won't put me in any danger.
We continue to walk, hand in hand, as I keep my eyes closed.
"Where are you taking me?" I giggle.
"Ssh.. don't peek!"
We keep walking until Harry stops and releases my hand from his. "Open," he says quietly.
I open my eyes and my heart falls to my belly. I gasp as I bring my hand to my mouth. We are by a pond, and there's a blanket laid down, with lit candles bordering the blanket, and a basket in the middle. Plastic plates and cups are also on the blanket, with music playing quietly from what I assume is Harry's phone.
"Harry..w-what is all this?"
"Well, I decided to make it up to since your date last night made other plans. It's not exactly a lake, but I thought it would-"
"It's beautiful," I interrupt softly, and look up at him.
Harry lets out a sigh of relief and grins again.
"So...you like it?" he asks me, and I can sense some nervousness in his voice.
"I, I love it!" I gush, and take his hand in mine again.
He stretches out his arm to the picnic, "After you," he tells me.
I feel my face getting hot and I take a step forward and down onto the soft blanket.
