This song is very dear to me and to this story as well.
Remember to check out MALEVOLENT HEART, BLACK ON BLACK and MASTERMIND as well.
And if you wish to support my work, there is a link in my bio where you can donate a small amount of money (3$ or more if you wish to). I would be extremely grateful.

"May these words be the first
To find your ears
The world is brighter than the sun
Now that you're here
Though your eyes will need some time to adjust
To the overwhelming light surrounding usI'll give you everything I have
I'll teach you everything I know
I promise I'll do better
I will always hold you close
But I will learn to let you go
I promise I'll do better
I will soften every edge
I'll hold the world to its best,
And I'll do better
With every heartbeat I have left
I will defend your every breath,
And I'll do better'Сause you are loved
You are loved more than you know
I hereby pledge all of my days
To prove it so
Though your heart is far too young to realize
The unimaginable light you hold inside."Two days later, Taehyung was standing in front of that room again, this time carrying a tray full of steaming food that made his stomach painfully twist. It was almost lunch time and he hadn't eaten yet, because he had been too focused on doing self-examinations of his body and the disease that was slowly fading from his veins. Taehyung still didn't want to tell the other doctors the news—that JK could actually heal people. He felt guilty, considered himself selfish for keeping such information away, but he wasn't going to let them put Jeongguk through that whole ordeal of experiments again. His goal was to save humanity but he wasn't going to allow anyone to treat Jeongguk like an experiment again—not even if it meant giving up on the person who could save them. He had promised himself that the boy would no longer be treated as an experiment, but as he looked at the glass of pills on the tray with a sigh falling past his lips, Taehyung realized that no matter how hard he tried, Jeongguk and JK were still a mystery for the world they lived in.
One even he couldn't unravel.
Even though he was forbidden to bring the rabbit there anymore due to the fact that it was now undergoing important examinations, Taehyung was going to find out if JK was alright or not, hoping that the item in his pocket would help bring him back to the surface once more. It was possible that JK would show up or something much worse could happen, but Taehyung was going to risk it because it was the guilt eating at his heart that was making him feel sick—he wanted JK to come back. However, the doctor was not going to force anything, being aware that maybe JK just needed a little rest.
Stepping carefully into the room, Taehyung glanced around to find Jeongguk sitting in front of his locker, his legs crossed under him. Taehyung had never seen Jeongguk in such a relaxed position before, the boy seeming always on edge around him. The doctor smiled as he placed the tray on the table, then took small steps towards the boy who was now watching him with curious eyes, having long been aware of his presence there.
"Hi, Jeongguk." He spoke softly, not wanting to frighten the other and make him turn defensive again. He wanted to gain Jeongguk's trust but his kindness was not faked—he truly wished for him to be happy. "What are you doing there?"
Taehyung asked curiously, but there was no need for Jeongguk to answer him—to speak to him. The boy moved his head to the side, gesturing towards the closet as if urging him to look, a smile ever so small but so familiar to Taehyung present on his face. That smile belonged to JK—mischievous, mocking—but the doctor knew that it was not JK who was looking at him, but Jeongguk, a slightly bolder Jeongguk.
