~Hate~

I look ahead at the boy hanging over the side of this building. His strawberry blond hair marvels in the wind. Green eyes look back at my with fear. All in his expression, I can tell he is devoted to Love. His cloak does a better job of hiding it. I bring the skinny boy to his knees and let him catch his breath.

Juliana does not speak. I feel her presence behind me. I hope she is not mad I trailed.

A sit on my knees to meet the boy in the eye, he shivers and clenches his shoulders. Somehow, I see Love standing over him. She must have been protecting him. Is he special to her and her plans?

What are her plans?

Peace surrounds us, momentarily.

"You!" Juliana screams with anger. I look back just in time to see her slap him hard across the face. The blow knocks him back and he clenches his face, grunting. "How could you do that to Austin?!"

"You know Austin?" A hush whisper rises. Man, that must have hurt. How is this restoring the balance?

"No, I don't know Austin at all." Juliana replies sarcastically.

"All I did was follow her to bring her back."

"Exactly! She didn't want to come back, and you couldn't respect that, pretty boy!" Juliana rages, and its almost scary. Probably shouldn't butt into the conversation.

"We are meant to be. I want her, I love her."

"So the man gets want her wants at Austin's expense?! Give her time at least!"

"I-I..." The boy looks at me. I want to scream for him to look away. Don't drag me into this. "Thank you, ladies, and I'm sorry for the trouble."

"Thank you, that was very polite, but I have a feeling that it is Austin you should be apologizing to." I say, simply and quietly. "Juliana?" I ask, implying the rest of the sentence. Can he come apologize?

"She deserves to hear it, but I don't want to hear any nonsense from you, shorty. Understand?" Juliana must be really mad, because I didn't take her for a bully.

"You would take me to her? Thank you!" The boy rises and shakes both Juliana and I's hands. "I understand, lead the way!"

I let Juliana lead, she probably knew where she was going. I could barely remember which way to turn out of the room. Thoughts raced as we jogged through a strange path. I made someone happy. I made someone's day. Hatees never make others happy, they believe in spreading hate. This felt good.

"Auber?" I hear Juliana calling me.

"Oh, Juliana, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to make you upset!" I begin without being told or asked.

"Don't worry. You just demonstrated something a true Hatee could never show. May I ask which of the four Gods you choose to believe in?"

I shall answer, for I am in dept for her forgiveness. "None."

"So you wish to pledge to the Balance?" Don't infer, it can make a mess of a bad situation.

"No, I don't believe in anything. Anything except my godlike mother. I don't worship her though, I only love her." The truth almost soothes me. I've held that in for a while.

Suddenly, I am standing in a room with a window the size of the wall. I look out and see a beautiful building decorated with all five colours. They blend into a giant wave.

A prophecy of its own, for telling the blending of the groups forming a strong force.

"The museum." Juliana informs me.

"My Love!" The boy calls, getting down on his knees once again to kiss Austin's hand. "It is me, Donny, I have returned!"

Donny realizes that Austin is in no condition to speak...or listen.

"Please wake, my darling! I have come to apologize for my rash behaviour." We all stand still for a moment.

"Love has taken her while war settles around us." The man in chef attire breaks the silence of the rest of us. Donny wasn't taken too? Why?

"May I please travel with you until she wakes?" Donny questions. What will happen when she does wake? She will stay with us, won't she? There must be a reason why she hadn't went with this boy in the first place.

"I won't leave you behind, trust me, but you will convert your behaviour patterns if you will come." Juliana says. "All in favour? Know that I will not leave the boy, so I will keep the balance and remain here if all vote against."

I raise me hand to mark my choice, so does Arthur and Meredith. It appears in is not unanimous, which means Donny is coming on legal terms. Balance terms.

"Thank you-" He exclaims has he glances around the room. "I am Donny." A single sly smile worries me.

What does this boy have planned?
