Chapter 9

before i can even close the door and call out to my mum i hear running from the kitchen.
"INDIA!!" She runs up to me and wraps her arms around me. "Oh my god, you had me worried sick, I tried to call you. Did you get my calls?"
"Yeah, only this morning though."
All of a sudden her face dropped.
"Wait, where have you been? What have you been doing?"
I could see she was staring directly at my neck.
"I slept at Austins, I kinda went to a party. BUT before you say anything Austin stayed sober and looked after me all night and-"
"Wait a goddamn minute, so your telling me you've been to a party, without my permission. You've gotten drunk, without my permission. You've gotten love bites from GOD KNOWS WHO without my permission. You've slept over at a boys house ONCE AGAIN WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!"
"I'm sorry mum, I really am. I'm just trying to fit in."
"You're father would be rolling in his grave." She lifts her hand and puts it on her forehead and looks at the ground.
"Mum, dont bring dad into this, that's not fair."
"Ill tell you whats unfair, not getting a wink of sleep because you think your daughters been kidnapped or even worse MURDERED whilst on a run. Not knowing wether I would see her again. You didn't answer your phone once to just let me know what was going on." She looks up with tears in her eyes. "I cant loose you too baby, I cant."
"Mum, your never gonna lose me, I can promise you that. Im always gonna be here through thick and thin." I hug her and she starts crying whilst i comfort her.

We sit there for about half an hour before she finally gets up.
"I need to cook tea, what you fancy?"
"Pizza please mum."
"Ok sweetie wont be long. Bring your dirty dishes down too.

That evening me and my mum felt closer than ever. We watched a movie and ate pizza and popcorn. We made smoothies and baked cookies. We drank hot chocolate and did karaoke.

Next weekend (🦋24th April 2007🦋)

I hear a knock at the door. My heart races and a smile lights up on my face.
"AHHHHHHHH" I scream as i open the door and hug them. "I missed you so much babes!"
My mum comes round the corner and a smile instantly spreads across her face.
"Oh my goodness, I forgot you were coming Jas."
"Hi Sarah, couldn't not see my best friend and her daughter after such a long time of being separate." She looks away from my mum and winks at me and laughs.
"Oh shush, IM your best friend not her." I hug her tightly and give her a peck on the cheek. My mum folds her arms
"I think you will find Jas has already decided I'm her best friend!"
"Yeah true, I didn't come here for you, I came here for your mum."
"Shut up!" I grab her hand. "Come on we are going to my room."
We run up the stairs and go into my room, I shut the door and lock it and go to sit next to Jas on the bed.
"So, hows the new school?" Jas turns her whole body to face me. "I wanna know EVERYTHING!"
"Well I've only been here a week and one day but I've been getting rides to and from school. I haven't got many mates yet, not really liked by a lot of people."
"Because of the kiss?"
I nod at her and press my lips together.
"Yup."
"Hey, you have me."
All of a sudden my phone starts ringing and i look and see the name. 'Austin <3' appear on the screen. I grab the phone and answer.
"Hi, could I come round for a bit?"
"I have a friend round is that ok?"
"Yeah that's fine, Ill be there in 5."
"Ok see you soon!"
"See ya."
I hang up and Jasmine is staring at me.
"Is that who I think it is?"
"Yeah, kinda." I smile and blush.
"You totally like him!"
"Well I haven't really thought about it to be honest."
"So whats he like then?"
"Well he's tall, he has dirty blonde hair, he has these ocean blue eyes I could just get lost in. He has a really deep voice with a small southern twang, it could seriously send me to sleep." I laugh and lean forwards to get closer to Jasmine and lower my voice. "But he has a giant six pack, and one time I slept at his house about a week ago and he got a boner spooning me, It was really big I cant lie."
"Oh myyyyy!" She gives me a playful shove. "Indiaaaa!"
"Can i finish?" I laugh.
"Go ahead babes, I'm all ears."
"He comes across as this hard to get, bad boy, mean person but he's such a softie and he's so sweet and kind. I've met his older sister Ashley and she's so nice. She's like the sister I never had and His parents are lovely. His mum, Lori she has invited me for supper every day this week. His dad David and his mum are separated so I don't see him much. I've been round a few times and he is still to warm up to me yet but I'll wear him down eventually. But he is honestly one of the best boys I've ever met but I've only known him for a week so I cant be trying to go out with him already. That's just too fast for me."
"I get it girl, you take the time you need to feel comfortable and its great to know your getting on well with his family."
"Yeah and my mum loves him. She is always asking when he's going to be round and always making him breakfast for me to take to him in the morning on the way to school."
"Wow, sounds like Sarah has a new favourite." She jokingly says pulling a sad face.
"Don't worry, your irreplaceable. You did hear her earlier. She was fighting over you with me."

Someone knocks on the door.
