Dinner for two

And finally, Saturday came. It had been quite a hell of a week but finally I could get the time to rest well and think about me and my health. As soon as the alarm set off, I opened my eyes and looked around me, trying to understand what was surrounding me. I grabbed my phone on the nightstand beside my bed and checked my notifications to notice I received no new messages at all. I put it back where it was and got up to get dressed at least and grab something to eat. I stepped outside my room and stopped in front of the window to look at the Devildom that morning: it was dark outside, like any other ordinary day and the sky was filled with lightnings everywhere. It made me shiver a bit as it made me remember how days passed differently here compared to the Human world. I let out a small sigh and turned around to go grab something but I suddenly bumped into someone. <<Oh, Beel! Good morning!>> I smiled at him. <<'Morning! Getting food too?>> He asked me and after I nodded, he told me to follow him as he was going to make breakfast for himself as well.

<<That tasted really good, thanks Beel!>> I said and then smiled at him to leave the kitchen and go inside my room once again to catch up on my homework. Once outside of the kitchen, I stood up to sit at my desk and start writing endless pages of homework and notes I never got the time to adjust. Not even five minutes had passed since I started that someone already knocked on my door and judging by the intensity of the knocks on it, I could tell it was Mammon. Of course it had to be him if the knocks were increasing each time he knocked! I got up from the chair and opened the door to reveal Mammon's figure standing in front of it. <<What is it, Mammon?>> I smiled at him nicely even if I was kind of busy with school work. <<Remember whaddya say yesterday?>> I gave him a confused look. What about yesterday? All I could think of was the time Satan and I spent together... <<That ya'd make it up to me and spend time with me!>> Suddenly I remembered the scene and when exactly I said that. <<Yeah, and?>> He looked at me and blushed. <<So go out with me tonight, will ya?!>> He said almost screaming, I could dare everyone in the house heard him, even Belphie who was probably sleeping somewhere. <<It's not like I'm askin' you out on a date...>> I giggled at his clumsiness and mood swings and kissed his cheek. <<Sure, pick me up at 8 tonight!>> I said. He then ran away from my room and I finally had the time to finish what I started earlier.

Time passed by really quick and I didn't even realise it was lunchtime. <<Oh shoot, who was in charge of making lunch today?>> I suddenly screamed remembering it was probably my turn. I ran to the kitchen and found Lucifer cooking lunch. I hurried and wore my apron and washed my hands. <<I'm sorry, I'm sorry! I forgot about making lunch, I was studying!>> I said. Instead, he stayed silent all the time, which was concerning but so far, nothing bad happened so we both cooked together and no one died. As soon as lunch was ready, I set the table and once food was on each plate, I called everyone. We all sat down, each one of us at our usual places and we all started consuming our meal. <<Oh, that reminds me!>> Mammon started. <<We're not gonna have dinner here tonight!>> He said pointing at me. I looked up and everyone was looking at me. I slightly blushed and looked away. <<Yeah, we're going out for dinner tonight...>> Everyone looked at us almost in disgust. I had done nothing wrong, yet they all reacted that way! I watched Lucifer's disappointed face and then I kept eating but that weird feeling of everyone's eyes glued on me made me feel a knot inside my stomach and I wasn't able to eat lunch, despite it being really good. Soon the room was silent, unlike minutes before and once lunch was over, all of the brothers, except Asmodeus and Belphegor who were in charge of washing the dishes, went to their rooms, me included. Since it was already afternoon, I started deciding what I would've worn tonight and I ended up choosing something that could make me feel comfortable enough but that, at the same time, could impress whoever saw me. Ive never liked being the centre of attention, nor I do now, so I actually wasn't in the mood for something THAT eccentric. I rested on my bed and checked my phone and the news but nothing really new if not how prom was around the corner. I looked up to check the time and surprisingly enough, it was getting late. I decided to go get a nice bath and then start preparing for the event tonight.
