A Best Friend To A Boyfriend

Chapter 11

I headed home after that fun night with Kristen. She is absolutely perfect. Im lucky she picked me over Cameron. I feel awful about him. I havent seen him since the party. No one has gotten contact with him, i hope he is ok.

I got home and changed into some jeans and a t-shirt, nothing fancy. I walk downstairs then i get a call. It was my manager Andrew.

"Hello?" I say through the phone.

"Where are you? You have to be at the studio recording" he says.

Oh my gosh i forgot! Ill have to text Kristen later.

"Um im coming there is just traffic" i lie.

"Better see you in 20" he says.

"Youll see me in 10" i hang up.

I get in my car and drive to the studio. Luckily i made it in 10 minutes. After i said 'hi' to Andrew i texted Kristen.

S: sorry im at the studio. Forgot i was recording today :/

K: its ok :)

S: thanks ill see you later babe 😘

K: 😘❤️

I stared at my screen for a bit still processing were actually dating. It will probably take me a year to get that wrapped around my brain. All of the sudden i see Andrew snapping and clapping trying to get me to focus.

"Finally! Go record!" He yelled.

I nodded and went to the booth.

I was kinda sad shawn had to record but that just means i have time to make a video. My sister helped record. We were backing brownies.

After a long time of shooting and a bunch of brownies made later it was already 5pm. I cleaned up the kitchen and my self. I took a shower and jumped into a floral pink dress with knee high socks. After i curled my hair and brushed it out a bit my phone buzzed.

S: hey done recording! Another date night?

K: perfect timing im all dressed up!

S: great! Sushi?

K: yasssssssss

S: haha want me to order for you?

K: might as well sense your a psychic.

S: haha meet you there

K: kk 💕

I put on my brown ankle boots and my white cardigan. I went in my car and blasted shawns song Something Big. I drove to our favorite sushi place.

I walked in to a smell of rice and fish. I notice Shawn sitting at a table texting. I woke over and he gets up to hug me and kiss my cheek. We sit down across from each other and look at the menu. Gosh i wanted everything! I could tell Shawn did too.

Finally after a long time debating, we ordered.

"So how is the album?" I ask as were waiting for food.

"Great i think youll love it"

"I know i will" i smile.

Shawns phone started buzzing. He looked at it then put it down. His face looked annoyed.

Are food arrived. As im about to take a bite of a California roll his phone buzzes again, and again, and AGAIN. He just lets it buzz.

"Everything ok?" I ask.

"Yeah just nash being annoying" he says.

Usually he texts nash to stop and if he doesn't me and him start being annoying back. Why was he so mad this time?

"Lets annoy him back!" I suggest.

"Um nah i want to eat" he says then stuffs is mouth in rice.

I sigh and continue eating. His phone buzzes here and there. I know its not nash telling that he would have stopped by now.

"Is it really nash?" I blurted out.

He sighed. "No. But its someone im annoyed with" he hinted.

He is never annoyed by any one.

"Who?" I ask.

"I dont want to ruin the date" he mumbled.

It was obviously someone awful but i couldnt think of anyone.

"Just tell me or its gonna be stuck in my head this whole time" i tell him.

"Ok but let me pay first and ill tell you outside"

I nod. Shawn pays and we head outside the sushi place and sit on a bench.

"Ok.." He says

"It was Alexa. Cams ex " he says.

"oh... What did she say?" I asked.

"She texted me last night too. She has been acting flirty with me. Its weird" he explains.

Alexa? What? Cams old girlfriend hitting on Shawn?

"Thats really weird" i say.

"Yeah its also really annoying"

"Block her" i suggest.

"My phone wont let me block. Its broken" he explains.

I sigh. I really hope she just forgets about him. Shawn is loyal and we love each other but it still scares me.
