dont skip the note at the end of this chapter please :,) its important to my thought process about this whole thing

ELEXIA made it to her doctor's appointment just in time, literally pulling into the parking lot nine minutes before her appointment was scheduled for. Her heart was still pounding and it pounded the entire hour-long car ride. She was sure that when the doctor took her blood pressure, it would be on the higher end.

She had these appointments twice a week, every week. She didn't know why she got more anxious each time. Perhaps it was the unknown and not knowing if she was going to get bad news every time she had these appointments.

Austin called Elexia to check on her right before she entered the door of the doctor's office, which she appreciated. She didn't expect him to call before and it was comforting to hear his voice. It calmed her anxiety a bit.

The doctor's appointment didn't go great, and she found herself driving to a random corner surrounded by trees in the neighborhood she was in, just to sit down and cry. She didn't need this stress. She didn't want it, either.

She sat there for a few minutes, forgetting that she promised to call her father after the appointment. She just cried and cried. She figured she'd cry until her heart was satisfied - if it ever was. Or, at least until her tear ducts went raw and the skin of her cheeks became red and irritated.

"Elexia."

Her head snapped up at that voice. She looked so unattractive at the moment; her hair was a mess from running her hands through it, her cheeks were flushed and her eyes were puffy. She roughly wiped her tears in a haste.

Oddly, she felt comforted by Rosalie's presence and she wasn't at all scared of how she had found her. She hadn't seen her beautiful face in days.

Rosalie's car was parked some feet behind her with the driver's side door open. Her face was painted in concern. Elexia had sworn she'd never seen someone so scared for her. Rosalie seemed physically in pain from seeing Elexia in the state she was in.

"Get in the car, please." Her voice was leveled and calm, but her eyes were telling an entirely different story.

Elexia felt compelled to stand up and get into the car as Rosalie had asked. She felt like her voice was completely gone. She didn't realize how dark it had gotten outside during her appointment. It was practically pitch black out.

Once the two girls were in the car, Rosalie took off and Elexia wondered where she was driving to. She didn't care to ask, either. She still felt as safe as ever with Rosalie. She stared at Rosalie's face, the moonlight barely illuminating her perfect features. Her expression was pained still.

"Are you okay?" Elexia asked. Her voice was rough, just like she thought it would be.

"I'm okay," her voice was still calm and Elexia nearly melted when she heard her beautiful voice again. She wasn't sure what to say next, she was so distracted by the blonde Hale.

"Lex." Rosalie's voice was serious now. "Are you okay?"

An embarrassing whimper left her throat as tears welled in her eyes. That question set her over the edge. "No."

"Okay." Rosalie nodded, her eyes still on the road. "Tell me about how yesterday was. And your weekend. I haven't seen you since last Thursday. I want to hear it all." She was doing her best to distract Elexia from the devastating day she was having.
