ELEXIA woke up feeling particularly more dazed than she usually did in the mornings. She remembered having a vivid dream in her sleep, but didn't really remember what it was about. She turned over and groaned, wishing she slept a bit longer.

Rosalie's laughter made her eyes snap open.

The human glared. "What?"

"You are truly a mess." The vampire spoke, sitting next to Elexia with her back against the headboard of the bed, a random book in her hands that she closed and set on Elexia's nightstand.

"I can't believe you actually stayed over," Elexia moved closer to Rosalie, so her head was resting on her lap.

"I told you I would, didn't I?"

Elexia nodded. "Where is my dad?"

"Left for work a bit ago. He came in here to check on you," Rosalie informed her.

The human girl got up with a groan, rubbing her eyes. "Let me go to the bathroom to get dressed and brush my teeth. And. . . do my hair."

Rosalie smiled and shook her head in amusement as Elexia stumbled out of bed, walking to her dresser and barely looking at what she grabbed - a maroon crewneck and white pants that had thin black lines going down vertically.

She brushed her teeth and her hair before getting dressed quickly and rushing back to her bedroom to Rosalie, whom she practically jumped on once she reached her. Elexia was very grateful her girlfriend was a vampire, so she could lay on top of her without worrying about crushing her.

"Come on, Lex," Rosalie spoke, making Elexia whine. "Let's go get you some food. You have to eat."

"No," Elexia answered, her voice muffled from being pressed into Rosalie's stomach.

"Okay, then." Rosalie shrugged, swiftly picking Elexia up and walking quickly downstairs, to the kitchen.

"Rosalie," Elexia complained, dragging out the 'e' in her girlfriend's name. Rosalie had to hold back laughter.

"What should I even eat?" Elexia asked once Rosalie set her on her feet. She walked to the fridge and grabbed the eggs. "Eggs it is, I guess."

Rosalie grinned and sat down in her usual chair at the kitchen island.

Once she finished making her eggs and sat down, she asked, "So, what are we doing today? What vampire girlfriend-human girlfriend adventure is within our plans?"

"I was thinking. . . it's time you met my family," Rosalie carefully spoke, watching Elexia's facial expression to make sure she didn't get too freaked out.

Her blue eyes did widen, unsure of what to say. She would love to meet them; that was true. But she was terrified, for more reasons than just one. Would they like her? How would she even talk to them? She was probably going to be too anxious say something dumb or embarrassing.

"Did I freak you out?" Rosalie questioned.

"A little," Elexia nodded. There was no use in lying to her; Rosalie knew her body language better than she knew herself. Sometimes, she didn't even realize her body reacted before her mouth did - but Rosalie always noticed.
