𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙧𝙙 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣 𝙥𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙫𝙞𝙚𝙬, 𝘽𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙖'𝙨 𝙨𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜.Practice, something that Brianna had a love-hate relationship with. It wasn't an issue for her, but she truly didn't like how much time it took up. Time that could be used for studying or anything to do with her academics.
Being that it was the first day back, practice was even longer.
"Okay girls, that's all for today. Douglas can I have a word with you before you leave?" What is it now, she thought to herself. She would find out after she got her things.
"Yes Coach?" Her weight shifted to her left foot. "Media day is tomorrow, we're asking you to wear this, because you now are one of the captains."
Her teammates all came behind her and cheered loudly. Hugging her tightly. Me? A captain? This is crazy.
After celebrating with her teammates for hours, Bri made it back into her dorm. This would be her last semester living on campus.
Somehow like moms always do, her mother found an apartment for her that wasn't too far from campus.
"Hello?" Brianna was searching around for one of her hair-ties, while on the phone with her boyfriend, Kyle.
"Can't call anyone anymore or something? We were supposed to talk at eight your time." Shit, she mentally cursed. She forgot about that. For some reason Kyle always wanted her to call him at a certain time. She got held up tonight with the celebrating and forgot.
"No that's not the case, me and the team went out for a celebration, and I forgot to call..." silence stayed for a few seconds. "I'm sorry." Sometimes she envied herself for always apologizing to him, but that felt natural.
"Celebrating?? What happened?" He raised an eyebrow, Brianna on the other hand was putting her hair into a bun while explaining her situation.
"Captain huh? Good girl. Guess you get it from me." He winked at her, whatever she rolled her eyes. For some reason he didn't sound as happy as she wanted him to be. It was a late night though and she was tired, so maybe the crankiness was kicking in.
Kianna her roommate though, heard everything. They had been roommates since Brianna transferred over to UGA. She on the other hand couldn't stand Kyle, and she knew that Brianna was too much of a good girl for him.
"Anyways, she's about to go eat, she'll talk to you later bye!" Ki grabbed Bri's phone and hung up on the male.
"Ki!" Kianna handed her a plate of food, giving her utensils for it. "What? He's such a narcissistic ass dude, he shouldn't be talking to you like that." Kianna heard their conversations for the past year, in no way shape or form did she like Kyle.
Brianna considered Kianna one of her bestfriends, she was a very blunt individual though. "I don't think he meant it Ki, probably had a long day, you know?"
"No I actually don't know, fuck him! We're gonna celebrate you being a captain after you eat!"
The roommates celebrated by singing and dancing the night away. They were knocked out completely when the both of them went to bed.
