Brianna was a pretty busy lady for the previous weeks. Softball games had been back to back and midterms were sending her over edge. Luckily for her and all the other students on campus, spring break's arrival was near. A week away to be exact.

Bri was more than excited. The break is two weeks, and for the first week she would be hanging out with Jalen and for the second week she would be hanging out with her mom. Shanti, her mom was very excited to hear that she would be hanging out with Jalen. Someone that she thought of very highly, and was hoping that Bri would bond with again to distract her daughter from her hectic schedule.

Jalen was also very excited to hang out with her, because he wanted to bond with someone who used to be his best friend through his formative years. He hoped that their trip would bring the two closer, and hopefully allow them to stay in contact, and get back to the friendship that they used to once have.

Even though her break was gonna be one for the books, there was a part of Bri that felt a bit broken. She wouldn't be hanging out with Kyle. He claimed, since the draft is coming he needs to be focused more on that, and not be distracted. Brianna was very confused on how he saw her as a distraction, but it was whatever. If they couldn't see each other this break, because it would help him to get to where he wanted to be then so be it.

Walking into her dorm room, she was met at the sight of Kianna packing her break. Bri assumed it was for the break.

"Already?" Bri asked, putting her softball backpack down on the side of the bed, before sitting down on the edge of it letting out a sigh before looking back to meet eyes with Ki. "Girl yes, you know I pack early." Shrugging her shoulders, Ki gave the softball player a smile. "I miss back home." Kianna wasn't from Georgia, she was from Florida. Originally her family was from Korea, but she was born in Florida, so that's where home was for her.

"You excited to hang out with Jalennnnnn?" Bri rolled her eyes at her dragging the end of his name. She was very excited to hang out with Jalen, but she feared that this would make Jalen think that their little getaway was something more, which she knew it wasn't. At the same time she does overthink, so she didn't wanna panic that much over it.

"I mean I am.." Ki squinted her eyes turning to face Brianna, the sound of her putting clothes in the suitcase stopped. "But? What's on your mind?" Hearing a sight come from her, she titled her head. "I don't know, I just usually spend it with Kyle." Smacking her lips she shook her head. "I know, but he's busy... we guess. Anyway, you'll have fun with Jalen, don't even trip."

Kianna felt like there was something more to the little comment Kyle made to Brianna saying "he had to focus on the upcoming draft." She was her friend, and as much as she wanted to say something, she didn't want to offend Bri or make her feel like she was intruding on her relationship.

One thing she did know was that Brianna deserved better. She always prays that one day it'll happen for her, and she'll see that she's deserving of the world.

Bri Bri, how was practice? You packed up for the trip? Don't be doing it last minute, you know how you do

Bri Bri, how was practice? You packed up for the trip? Don't be doing it last minute, you know how you do.

Hey Jay, practice went well, just tiring. No I am not packed, but I will be getting to it tomorrow.🫡

Tomorrow? We see each other in three days, maybe I just need to stop by UGA and help you pack, then we can dip.😂

I don't need your help, if you picked out my clothes, I'd walk around looking like a garbage bag.

That's how you coming? My drip is hard, you hating. You'd still be a cute garbage bag so it's whatever.

In all seriousness though, I'll start packing tonight. I'll text you after I take this nap.

Alr, love ya Bri Bri.🫶🏽

Love ya too, Jalen.

"Who has you smiling at your phone like that?" Ki asked, a smirk quickly appearing on her face. Bri's head quickly snapped back, she quickly tried to remove the smile she had, but that failed from the joy she felt from the text that she received.

"Huh? No one important." Not believing her, Kianna quickly made her way over to her roommate's bed frame before letting out a shocked gasp at the sight of the contact picture. "No way he sent that! This is crazy."

Brianna shushed Ki because of how loud she announced the name out loud. "Shh! We're just friends. He's nice."

"Nice you say? This text seems a little more than nice." Nudging the basketball player on her shoulder, Bri quickly shut her down. "Ki.. no. I'm in a relationship. He's just being nice."

Holding her hands up in defense, she went back to packing. "Sorry Bri, just calling it how I see it." she stuck her tongue out.

Shaking her head, Bri went to shower and then get started on some homework, that would be followed by a nap.

Brianna and Jalen had just touched down in Miami, Florida. The place where they decided would be good to spend a week's worth of time. Also a place where the two traveled twice together with their parents' when they were kids.

"It's so beautiful out here." Brianna expressed, as the two were being taken to the hotel that Jalen made reservations for their stay.

"It is. I could live out here." He recorded the sight for his Instagram. Brianna was still focused on her view that she had.

Their ride to the hotel took about an hour, he wanted to make sure that Brianna would be comfortable with where they were staying. "Bri we here, wake up." He gently rubbed her shoulder. She took a nap for the commute that took longer than expected.

Waking up her eyes widened at the hotel name in front of her, quickly she shook her head. "Jalen, this hotel is expensive. You didn't have to do this how mu-" Putting his hand over her mouth her shut her down.

"We best friends, don't even worry about it. Calm down Bri Bri." Calming her down, they walked in the hotel together.

The adventure to their week started now, and it was gonna be an exciting one.
