Akihiko's POV

Gunshots rang in my ears and irritation filled me. Still unable to understand how they found out where this place was. I have let my guard down for long enough, I need to go and take Y/n away. Right, as long as they don't know where she is, I still win.

"Kenta, take care of those rats." I ordered and he nodded. Taking cover by the crates nearby until I found my way to the emergency exit. Quickly getting to my car to rush off to the hospital. I dialed the hospital number and it rang for a moment before someone finally answered.

I ordered them to process Y/n's discharge papers so I can just take her away when I get there but they said that she still hasn't recovered. Angered by their response I raised my tone which scared the one behind the call.

She meekly answered and said to process the papers right away before I hung up. Just as I was about to take a break, I noticed a car speeding behind me. A person with pink hair pointed his gun and began shooting my car. He looks high that he misses his shots, what an idiot. Cursing under my breath, I quicken my pace and disregard the authorities who are chasing us down.

"Damn it! DAMN IT ALL!" I shouted and made a sharp curve even though there was a truck approaching, hoping to lose the ones tailing me. These persistent Bonten scums, never stop bothering me.

Guess booking that flight to Los Angeles a few days ago was worth it after all. If only Y/n didn't pass out when I got back then we would've been there already. I should've taken her there regardless. Acting as a good husband is fucking tiring, I'm ending it today. I'll take her with me whether she likes it or not. Her having amnesia is such a blessing in disguise but it won't last long, I need to put her on a leash.

It wasn't long till I finally shook them off, all I need to do now is get Y/n.

Walking along the halls of the hospital, the attending doctor of Y/n was already holding the papers I asked her to. I signed it and paid for the expenses and she ushered me to Y/n's room. Upon entering, she was covered in a blanket and was sleeping.

"Y/n, darling, let's go home." I whispered and slowly uncovered her face but to my surprise, it wasn't her. It was her nurse in hospital clothes, knocked out cold.

It can't be, don't tell me her memories are back already. She was just one step away from my hands, shit.

"Find my wife, right away!" I yelled when the security guards arrived at the scene. I followed them to the CCTV room and rewatched the previous footage. It showed that when the nurse was about to get blood samples, she took a while before going out of Y/n's room.

"How can you not be suspicious of this? Your security is shit!" I exclaimed in anger before storming out and going back to my car. Since it happened just an hour before I got here, she must've been somewhere near.

Kakucho's POV

Standing behind a post near the hospital, I reported that Akihiko just left the premise without Y/n. With Sanzu attaching the tracking device to his car, we thought Y/n was there so I disguised myself as a security guard. To think that Y/n went missing from here means she's aware.

From the gossip I heard from the nurses, Y/n has been here for a long time in a comatose state. She just woke up and had amnesia but then was taken by Akihiko who introduced himself as his spouse.

To think that she was just near us all this time but we did not notice, a sense of shame builds up inside my heart. Not only did I fail as her subordinate, but I also failed as her friend once again.

"Continue following him secretly and observe around you. Take Y/n away as soon as you find her and if left with no choice, you are allowed to kill Akihiko on the spot." Mikey ordered which I affirmed. The tone of his voice was hopeful but angry.

For him to give me permission to kill Akihiko means that he values Y/n more than his revenge. After all, I have witnessed him do, the thought that he has her prioritized put me at ease. If only the world we live in and the path we choose to take weren't as twisted as it is today...

I chuckled to myself as I continue on with my task. Maybe it's about time for me to retire from this job. I'm starting to think like an old man. I just hope that we can find Y/n first than Akihiko does.

Your POV

"Shibuya, You're arriving at Shibuya. Watch out for any missing belongings..." An announcement from the speakers said as the train arrived at the Shibuya station. Moving along the crowd to not be a disturbance, I found myself in familiar-looking places.

The large crossing streets were where Mikey and his friends walked along to, a restaurant that used to be a small arcade we used to visit, and many more places. Before I continued to stroll around, people kept glancing at me since I was still wearing the nurse's uniform yet I am out of the hospital.

With a clothes shop nearby, I took the liberty to pick a comfortable outfit to wear. The money? I pickpocketed a while ago on the train. Don't get me wrong, I saw a man who was picking the pockets of an old lady so I stole from him in return. I took his wallet and slid back the old lady's wallet when we went off the train.

After a small shopping spree, I walked again for a while till I reached a familiar neighborhood. There was a park full of children and as I watched them play, my eyes focused on the monkey bars and remembered many memories that made me feel down and helpless.

I didn't stay long and wandered again until I reached the cemetery and found familiar names. I sat down in front of them and silently paid respects. It took me the courage to say something but along with my words, tears also ran down my face.

"Mom, dad, I'm sorry for visiting you just now. This daughter of yours forgot where she came from." I whispered in the air. My adopted parents who loved me so much died when I was just 17 in a dispute between Yakuzas at that time.

My father was a police officer that was on a date with my mother on his day off. I always thought it was my fault that they died since I was the one who insisted they go and relax because they always pay attention to me back then.

With Mikey beside me, he promised me that he will avenge my parents' deaths which he did but that revenge was the start of this mess. It was Akihiko's group who was involved in their deaths but it was the past leader's fault. When we finally took down their group, he began his disgusting obsession with me, and from that moment on, our lives began to break again.

I do not want this to continue anymore, I just want to be with my family, my husband, my child, and my...home. But where do I start looking? "Mom, dad, what should I do? I am lost." I spoke with a voice shaking in despair as I feel anguish in my heart. Feelings of longing, hatred, hope, and despair were all mixed up together inside me.

"And I found you" A voice from behind said, making me freeze. Eyes wide and mouth slightly open, I looked at the person who spoke and I was shocked.

"H-how?" I muttered, unable to form any more words.
