"Think carefully, should you reject the faith, even this once, the gates of paradise will forever be out of your reach" A deep voice echoed through the darkness.

The young boy who had summoned the demon looked over at the large silhouette of a raven that had appeared in front of him.

"Do you think one who was among the faithful would ever go so far as to summon someone like you?"

The demon chuckled softly. "I'll ask you once more, do you wish to form a contract with me?"

"I do! Now stop asking these tedious questions and let me know if we have a deal!"

The white feathers that had been surrounding the boy turned black and began to flutter around every which way, a silhouette of a man appeared among the black feathers.

Present day

Fog layers heavily over the landscape, blanketing over the beautiful countryside.

The early morning sunlight peaks through the curtains of a grand mansion, the sounds of birds chirping can be heard from outside.

A young boy lays sleeping, then slowly opens his eyes and looks toward the slender figure clad in black who opens his curtains, allowing the bright sunlight to shine in his face.

"Master, it is time for you to wake up. For breakfast today, we have a lightly poached salmon accompanied by a delicately minced salad, I can also offer toast, scones, or pan de companiya. Which dish would you care for this morning?" the butler poured a steaming cup of tea as he spoke.

The boy known as Ciel Phantomhive sits up in bed and rubs his eyes, yawning softly, listening as his butler drones on about what is offered for breakfast.

"A scone" he answers simply, moving to sit on the edge of his bed.

"Today, you have a meeting with Mr Hues, the authority on the history of the Roman Empire and this evening, Mr Domiyano of the Posideon company will be paying you a visit"

"Oh? Is that the man I have in charge of stuffed animals at my factory in India?" Ciel asked.

"Yes, I'm told he's Italian. We will of course offer him all the hospitality the estate can provide"

Ciel was now fully dressed for the day, he picked up the tea cup and held it to his lips, his eyes closed. "I know this smell, is this tea Earl Grey?"

"Yes. From Jackson's of Piccadilly. I shall wait for you at the dining table, Master" as the butler turned on his heel to exit the room, Ciel grabbed a dart and threw it toward the man, who caught it skillfully between his fingers.

"Well thrown, my Lord" the man turned his head toward the young Earl with a smile. "Even so, let's save the games for later"

"Yes, I suppose you're right, Sebastian"

Sebastian then proceeded to walk out of the room, Ciel stood up and soon followed him, making his way to the dining room.

In the dining room, the 3 servants, Finnian, Bardroy and Meyrin were happily chatting among each other when a dart suddenly flew through the air and struck Finnian, the gardener, in the back of his head.

"Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Owww!" he cried, looking toward his young master with tears in his eyes.

"What was that for, Master? What did I do?" he asked.
