Your curtains drawn,
yet another day sets in solace,
you forget what the sun resembles,
forget how the sun feels on your skin,
forget what laughing felt like,
joy a feeling so remote-
it feels like a distant memory.

If you ever had to pause and think of who to call while crying, had to check yourself because you thought you'd be disturbing, cried on your toilet seat or in your corner with the cig in between your fingers, cried till your throat ached, cried till your head ached, wiped the tears and got back up to face the day, you're stronger than you give yourself credit for.
