A mirror
No longer appreciative
Of the long hair
The strong heart
The beautiful heart
A reflection of a long face
Of the wrong face
For way too long she lay-
lay imagining she was not enough
the dragon in her making her a believer
a believer; that she was never enough
She stood in front of the mirror
confronting her fears
with the three phrases she uttered
I am loved
I am beautiful
I am enough
She dabbed at the tear stream
streaming away the angst
the lead weighing down her already heavy heart
she sat down
and it dawned
she had set her heart free
free to love,
free to be loved.
