Pete's POV:

"Sam!! If you don't come right now, we will proceed without you!!" Por warned as he got into the driver seat all ready to start the engine. "I am here!! I am here!!" Sammy said while panting heavily as she struggled to get into the car.

If you are thinking what is happening right now then let me explain. Since I agreed to take few days off, Pond arranged for my leave and then I had no other option than returning back home with mae and por and since Sammy also needed break, she too joined us.

It's been a week already and I was finding it really hard to get over what had happened so all had been planning outings and today we were going to visit a beach. I wanted to drive but I was politely shoved away by por who insisted on driving saying that he cannot let someone fragile drive it while flaunting his muscles. Even though old, he still managed to maintain a good physique but his words in return earned him an elbow from mae who nagged him for showing off.

This couple had been so much in love with each other. I wonder why I wasn't born as their child. But I am glad that they accepted me in their family and became my foster parents. There had never been a day that I felt that they weren't mine. I felt so warm and cozy with them. And the mere fact that they were here to support me for my first heartbreak is something that I had never ever imagined.

"Por!! It's only 8.30 am. You are not going for work to leave so early." Sammy complained. "Of course not my sweetheart. I just don't want to keep my car in sunlight to get baked. And then it will be you who would complain that you are feeling hot even in the car." Por replied.

"Oh honey!! Stop wasting your time now. It's already been 5 minutes that Sammy got into the car. You can start the engine." Mae said cutting off the fight between por and Sam. I sighed and leaned against the seat while looking out of the window.

It was a sunny day and I can see the birds enjoying the bright light. Their chirping sound brought a pleasant feeling that I have missed for so long. This is the beauty of home. You can never have that warm and cozy feeling anywhere else.

"Are you feeling alright?" Sammy whispered leaning closer. "Better I guess. At least I don't feel much pain now." I replied. "That's good because when we return, I want to see you smiling like earlier. Got it?" Sammy said to which I nodded in response while trying to flash a wide smile at her.

It took us half an hour till we finally arrived at the beach. When we reached, Sammy jumped out of the car immediately and stretched herself up. "I miss this morning air!" she said while inhaling deeply. "Pete, let's go." Mae said while patting my shoulder and gesturing me to walk along.

I began to walk with her while Sam and por followed us, Sammy complaining about her empty stomach while por grumbled about the luggage. Finally we arrived at the lodge which por had book for a day. After dumping the luggage we went to the café to have something.

"It's been a while that we have visited this place. Things have changed so much!!" Por exclaimed. "Yes... I remember the last time we came here. And that guy Sammy had a crush on." Mae said. "Yes!!! And then he brought his husband to introduce to us!!! How can I forget!! It was Sammy's first heartbreak!!" Por laughed.

"Por!! I didn't knew that he already had someone. Can you at least pity your little girl?" Sammy pouted while looking away. "Little?? I think you should start using dictionary. You are no longer little and you were barely 14 that time!!" Por reminded.

"14?" I asked surprised. "Yes... Sammy was 14 then. After that we didn't get to come here because she got busy with studies and then her college followed by her job. We hardly got time to have a vacation. And you know it well since you have been part of the family from quite some time now." Por said.
