I never thought I'd be back so soon, not before the stipulated time though. But, here I am on the same land where it all started. The events never left my sight, nights haunted by the relay of the nightmares. They never left me alone. The days were filled with exhaustion. Not a minute passed in these years that I never thought of this day, this land. It had been perfectly engraved in my mind, like a tattoo you can't get rid of. It never ached yet never let me breathe too. A vivid reminder of what had happened and what will. Somehow it felt like he was home yet at the same time a foreign place. He has to relearn lots of things and trace the paths he never thought he would.
He has grown a lot both in mind and body yet a part of him wants to retaliate. To deny all these things he was being prepared for the last few years. Though, he knows he made his bed and it's time to lay in it. Not every time he will be rescued. It's time to take responsibility for his actions.
"thinking too much in the morning, already" The voice he can recognize anywhere and the voice he missed. Though, he was not going to accept this out loud. Soon they stood beside him and they both silently gazed appreciating the green lush land expanded in acres.
"they followed us" he broke the silence and he knew he did not need to explain any further.
"I know" Antalia replied, "and don't worry your little boy mind. They are resting peacefully in dungeons."
He snorted " I should have known"
"know what?" Antalia enquired
" Nothing stays hidden from you, not even the rogues," he said back
"it's my responsibility to keep this pack safe" Antalia retorted "and soon yours" she let it slip.
"Do you think I can?" he never let his confidence flatter but, there are moments of the doubt here and there.
Instead of acknowledging his self-doubt Antalia proposed something else " want to pay them a visit" and maintained eye contact challenging him to fight or flight. She was testing him and he liked to be challenged.
"lead the way" He gestured with his hand.
Soon enough Anatalia led them towards the dungeons where all their captured rogues and trespassers confided in. Antalia led them through the flight of stairs from the door only a few can access but he can learn these things later. First, they have to pay a visit to their precious guests.
"the dungeons are divided into three sectors," Antalia said "sector-1 is where all the lawbreakers and thieves are; sector-2 the freaks who stumble into our land and the rogues find their places," she said but paused a little on telling about the third one "the sector-3 been designed for captivators, wanders and spies who know something or here are for something."
"I reckon you are leading us to the sector-3 right" He questioned, "though what's so significant about that part."
"a lot actually"
"care to share"
"just one tip, for now, stay away from the walls"
As she finished the sentence they were inside the dungeons already. It wasn't like he never saw dungeons before but, the way his body responded was not something he experienced before or anyone right now. His breathing got heavy and sweat started to form on his forehead. He could sense something important to him was here. His wolf soul wanted out to search for what belonged to him. it was not what he thought it would be but something definitely in there that belonged to him.
As they were outside the room he could hear the rattling of two chairs and heavy breaths from inside as well. Antalia now too noticed something was wrong with him. the way his body tried to produce the elements from his body but failed and not to forget his illuminating eyes, glowing so bright.
Before Antalia could ask, he just went inside leaving her at the door. Antalia followed closely, regaining her surprise.
The inside was dead silent, the guards looked perplexed. As three men were on their knees all breathing heavily. The room felt claustrophobic, no one knew what was happening. The two men they captured were still tied down to ropes.
"open them" his voice commanded "untie them" he roared fearing the others present in the room
"now"
Antalia gestured to the guards to do the same to follow his order. Though she hasn't witnessed something like this ever yet can't deny the fact that she was curious to know how this situation will unfold.
The minute they let them go they fell to their knees again with much more force than before. Their wolf souls were at the surface Antalia can feel and others too. As the minute went by her anticipation multiplied and she felt like an intruder witnessing a surreal moment. Yet the bigger part of her knew she had to stay put for the safety of her pack and her family.
"We finally found you our Alpha" one with blazing pale blue eyes said they were illuminating the icy cold aura proudly declared.
"It's been so long our Alpha" the other with the warmest hazel eyes added, " we have been waiting for you."
" The time is slipping away our Alpha" the icy pale blue-eyed informed "we must bond now and pledge ourselves to you"
That got Antalia's attention but she dare not interrupt because the aura he started spreading was nothing but warm and somehow his wolf soul recognized these two strangers as his own. The mysteries were popping up right and left, and no right answer was in sight. All she could do is wait for now.
Silently he extended his hand forward and the other two followed the pursuit without any hesitation as if they had done it a thousand times already. The moment was surreal and heartwarming even for those who were just witnessing it. Their hands meet softly yet with promise and the white glow blinded them and what felt like an eternity was just a mere few minutes. their bodies shook and bonded together in a bond. For what no one knows? Yet. The minute it stopped their bodies hit the floor with a thud. All three of them were unconscious and breathing deeply. As they were in deep slumber after long tiring days.
"what should we do?" one of the guards asked Antalia.
"carry them to pack clinic and make sure no one knows about this"
Antalia's mind was in chaos. One after another things happened and in this surreal moment, she was part of not grasping the depth of it. One of those stringed events she needed answers for, no matter what. They had just arrived and events started already. This was the prime example of it. If this was the starting point, where's the end?
They guided the three men to the pack clinic and informed the pack doctor to keep a close eye on them, for now, Antalia made sure they all stayed in the same room.
"I need all the details of the" Antalia informed the pack doctor, Mr. Ash Cole "inform me as soon as they wake up"
"don't you worry alpha"
His assurance meant a thousand words to her. But not what she heard next from her beta's mouth.
"Where's the fire?" Antalia asked, looking at her beta's agitated figure and what she heard next made her curse the heavens to throw it at her face like this. Antalia can't seem to find a break, can she?
