It has been two weeks, and I was at the doctor's with my mom for my ultrasound. Allie was telling me that everything was good, but said, "Oh my!"

"What is it?" I asked, getting concerned.

"Nothing to worry about," she shook her head, "but it looks to me that you're having twins."

I was immediately shocked at this, "Are you sure."

She nodded, "It's true. Do you want to know the genders?"

I just nodded and she went to work again. "Two healthy baby girls and they're highly energetic."

My mom just laughed, "Double the trouble, sweetie," she laughed.

While I knew she was joking, I was still scared about this revelation. I looked at my belly and it sank in that I was carrying two babies instead of one. I just lay there in shock with various thoughts running through my head. How are Jake and I going to do this? Will I be a good mother to them and be able to finish school? How will Jake react to the news? Will we be able to do this?

Mom and Allie must have sensed my emotions because they sat me up and Allie held my hand. "You're not the only teenager who had twins, sweetie," she said. "It is hard to raise them at an early age, but you can do it. You have a great support system, including me."

"That's right, Haley," Mom added, pulling me close. "You have me, Jake, and your sister for help when it gets rough. You're not alone in this."

I just nodded and clung to her like a child.

"It'll be ok, sweetheart."

We headed home after grabbing lunch, with Rain at the wheel. She was expecting a boy and was excited. I was happy for both of us and smiled, but was still stunned at my twin news. I just hope Jake won't be as freaked out as I am.

When I went home, Jake greeted me with a kiss and asked how my doctor's appointment was.

"Well," I braced myself. "They're both girls."

"Rain's having a girl, too?"

I shook my head. "No, sweetie. You and I are having girls. It's twins."

He just gasped. "Really?"

I nodded and showed him the ultrasound pictures. "It's true. See for yourself."

Looking at them for a minute, he took a deep breath and embraced me. "I guess we're getting two things instead of one, huh," he laughed.

"I'm glad you're taking this lightly because I'm still staggered at the revelation. How are we going to take care of twins?"

Holding me in his arms, Jake led me to the kitchen and got us some drinks. "Baby," he said. "We'll do this together, ok? I love you and our daughters. Besides, we have someone who was in your shoes to talk to, remember?"

"I forgot about that," I replied. "I need to call Jenna."

"She and Ethan are coming over tonight for supper. You can talk to her then."

I just laughed. "What am I cooking?" I asked.

"I've had a roast with vegetables in the slow cooker since this morning," he smiled. "It should be done shortly, along with the rolls. So, my beautiful wife and mother of my twins, would you please set the table?"

"My pleasure," I grinned, kissing his lips.

Ethan and Jenna arrived at six and we talked for a little bit. Then, we sat down to a candlelight meal.

"This is really good, man," Ethan said, enjoying the roast. "You should be a chef."

Jake blushed. "I just learned from watching Haley and her mom."

"That's a good way to learn. Most men need to learn to cook."

Jenna just nodded. "That's true. When we started dating, Ethan surprised me one night with a home cooked meal and I was hooked."

I just sipped my drink and said, "That's good. Jake cooked chili for me a month after we met. It was spicy and delicious."

"Cool beans. So, have you found out what you're having, yet?"

I took a deep breath. "We're having twin girls."

"You nervous?" Ethan asked.

Jake and I both nodded at that question.

"Jenna was nervous, too. She asked if we could handle two babies at once, if we had the room for them, and everything else. I had to assure her that we could do it and to stop worrying. She wanted to take every parenting class in the world, but most of the times the only class is experience because you have to learn as you go along sometimes."

"I know," I replied, "but it's still hard not to worry."

Jenna nodded in response, but told us to enjoy the peace because when the babies come, we won't get any sleep and suggested we start baby proofing for safety; we instantly agreed to that.
