Ch 1.
Alexa's POV.
After Ryan had finished his... business, I asked if he wanted a drink or something. He agreed and sat on my couch. I got him a glass of water and returned to my living room. When I got back, he was staring at a picture of my family on the wall. Awkwardly, I tapped his shoulder, and gave him the glass. Then I sat next to him in awkward silence.
" So...... what school did go to before you moved back?" He asked to break the silence.
"Well, I went to Deptford High of course. Duh." I said.
"Oh, right. So uhm, do or did you have a boyfriend?" He asked casually while scratching the back of his neck. Weird.
"Yeah, well I did. We broke up a week ago. I'm still getting over it." I said, with a hint of sadness.
"Oh, I'm sorry. So um... can I ask you something?" He asked, eager for an answer.
"Yea sure, fire away." I said confused.
"Can... will... would you sorta, maybe, kinda walk to school with me." He asked, blushing a little. Wait what?Ryan Brown was blushing. Because of me. Freaky.
"Ummm sure, I guess so." I said nonchalantly.
He seemed to relax a little and said, "Cool."
Ok, this is weird. First, he shows up at my house, claiming to have to go to the bathroom, then, he asks if I have a boyfriend, and then he wants to walk to school with me. Call me crazy, but he is showing all the signs of a crush. Pfft, yea right, like Ryan Brown, the macho man of the school, had a crush on lil' old me. As if.
"So... can you fight?" I asked casually.
"Yeah, a little. Wait, do you fight?" He asked surprised. I guess it's not something a small, petite girl like myself would ask someone.
"Yeah, ask anyone at DHS." I said.
"Really? What kind of fighting do you know?" He asked, obviously stunned I said yes in the first place.
"Oh, I know Karate, Wrestling, Boxing, Kick Boxing, Juto, Ninjutsu, and a little bit of Fencing. Why?" I said simply. Considering his jaw almost hit the floor, I assume he was stunned.
"Wow, no way you know all of that. I mean, no offense and all, but your a girl, and girls are, you know, weak." He said. Oh no he didn't. Ok, first of all, he is the one claiming he had to use my bathroom, started interrogating me about my social life, and he has the balls to say I'm WEAK. Well guess what pretty boy? Offense taken. Maybe I should show him what I can do. No way I'm going to let him get away with this.
"Oh really, well fight me and see for your self." I said, anger clearly showing in my voice. Oh, anger does not begin to explain how I feel. I AM PISSED!
He got up and said, "Bring it." Oh I am going to have fun. My day just got a bit brighter.
Not two minutes later he was pinned face first on the ground with me on top putting him into an arm lock. I could clearly see the tears and boogers coming from his face. He was crying. Now that was priceless! I really wanted to tape this.
"So what was that about girls being weak?" I said, gloating about taking him down.
"Sorry, I'm so so sorry. Just please get off me, please!" He said while crying. Ha ha! I took down the macho man of the school.
"Ok, but first say ' girls are tougher, smarter, and more awesome than boys. And I will never call girls weak again.' Then I'll let you go." I said smugly to procrastinate. I just love the feeling of having defeating this poser.
"Girls are tougher, smarter, and more awesome than boys. And I will never call girls weak again." He said. My job here is done. He he.
"Good, cause you make the same mistake again and I will hunt you down and chop of your family jewels. So, we still on for walking to school tomorrow?" I asked, getting off him acting as if nothing happened.
"Yeah sure just don't take my lunch money." He said jokingly, wiping away tears and boogers. Sarcasm. I like that in a dude. And it's cool I at least have someone to walk to school with. I hope Hope (my BFF) doesn't get pissed at me for not telling her I'm back or for walking to school with Ryan.
Thankfully, Ryan left short after our fight and before my mom got home. I ended up eating McDonald's. It was good and all, but all I kept thinking about was the fight.
Then I thought ' Karma's a bitch,' and smiled like an idiot.
