Fourteen (angsty Reddie fanfic)

Chapter nine

Eddie awoke at 10 AM, before Richie did. Once he realized he was gone, he started to look for him. He was nowhere in the house so he ran to Sonia.

"Mamma! Have you seen Richie?!" Eddie asked with a worried tone. "That's your friend with the glasses, right?" "Yes!"

Sonia smiled. "He's at home, sweetie." Eddie sighed in relief. "I'm going to see him, by mommy!" He ran out before Sonia could react.

Once he reached outside, he got on his bike and quickly biked in the direction of Richie's house.

"Hey, Eddie!" Someone yelled. Eddie's head turned swiftly to the voice. It was Stanley. "Hi Stan." He said. Stanley ran to Eddie.

"Where are you going?" He asked him. "Richie's house. You?" "I'm going there too! My bike broke though." "Damn. Guess you'll have to walk."

Eddie started pedaling and Stanley started walking. The two of them were going slow.

"Y'know, Stan, it's honestly fun hanging out with you." Eds says. Stan smiles. "Not a lot of people tell me that. Thanks, Eddie." "Mhm."

Eventually, the two boys made it to Richie's house. Eddie got off his bike and ran to the door. Stanley also ran to the door and he knocked.

It took about a minute but suddenly the doorknob clicked and the door opened. Richie was on the other side.

Eddie stared at him and his outfit. His hair was a mess, he had his Freese's Department Store shirt on, and he had shorts on. His glasses were off.

"Hello, Richie." Stanley said. "Hi." Richie responds. "Rich, did something happen? You look like fuckin' shit!" Eddie asks. Stanley hits Eddie and gives him a death stare.

"Stan, there's no need for you to hit Eddie, all he did was ask a question. Yes, I'm ok." Richie says. He gets out of the way of the entrance so Stan and Eds are able to come in. They walked in.

Richie closed the door and ran to his room, Eddie and Stanley following. When they got in he closed the door.

"Oh yeah, Eddie, why are you here? I didn't invite you." He asks Eddie. "Oh, I just wanted to make sure you're ok. I can go, if you want me too." He responds.

"You can stay, I was just asking. Um, Stan! Nice outfit choice, very um.. Very cool!" Richie chuckles. "Thank you." Stanley said.

"Rich, he literally wears that shit all the time." Eddie points out. "Oh, shut the fuck up shithead." "You guys are so weird."

Richie and Eddie turned their heads towards Stanley quickly. They looked mad. "Guys, I- I didn't mean it!" Stan frets. Richie and Eddie laugh. "We know, don't worry about it Bird-Boy." Richie pats Stanley's shoulder.

"Bird-Boy?" He repeats. Richie nods. "Yeah, Bird-Boy! I just came up with it, since you love birds." "Well, yeah. I do." "Y'know, if you love birds so much, why don't you just marry them?" Richie jokes.

Stanley stood where he was silently, with a judgmental look in his eyes. "ANYWAYS! So do you guys want to go to the arcade? I don't really know what to do." Richie asks. Stanley and Eddie nod.

"Ok. Let me brush my hair and put my glasses on." "Wait, Rich. You should put your hair in a ponytail, your hair looks long enough for a small one." Eddie recommends.

"Oh, alright. I'm gonna have to steal from my mom." Richie ran out of his room. Stanley looked at Eddie.

"Did you really just tell him to do that?" He asks. "Yes. I think he'd look nice." "That's fucking gay, Eddie." "Shut the fuck up, Stan. That's probably because I AM gay, dumbass."

Richie ran back in with a hair tie. "I don't know how to do my hair, can you do it, Eds?" He asks. Eddie nods and grabs the hair tie.

"Now turn around so I can do it." He demands. Richie nods and turns around, so his back faces Eddie. He tied Richie's hair into a low ponytail. "Alright, Rich. I'm done." He smiled and so did Richie.

He turned to face Eddie. They exchange smiles.

"You look nice," Eddie comments. "Thank you, good sir." "Yeah, you look cool." Stanley says. "Ok, let's goooo!" Richie grabs Eddie's hand and he runs out. Stanley follows.
